Lipnitskaia used a black jumpsuit with the yellow stripes on the side - more movie faithful but not eye-blinding. Not sure why she didn't do this exhibition more than once https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQpExUKf-rI

So both of Sima's programs are like taking a walk down memory lane... I like it. I like the new interpretation of music she's had before and her fresh take on it.
:This is one of my favorites ever :luv17:
Yup. And then You Young might make the final - well, probably would. But Kanysheva? Could easily get a silver there.
Personally, I hope Russia doesn't sweet the ladies JGP because that could lead towards anti-Russian judging bias for the Grand Prix... I wish they just instituted a rule where if one country gets all 6 spots that they give a 7th spot to the next best skater from another country. I'd have the lowest ranked/scoring skater skate last.
i feel those are because the top skater like Kostornaia and Trusova already have reputation since last season, i believe when they turn senior then Kanysheva etc will get better PCS too. but i do feel some of the GOE a bit too high for the top skater though but PCS is well deserved imo, except Scherbakova is a bit too high imo (not by much).I don't understand the connection, anti-Russian judging bias should be persecuted by ISU. They should judge the skater and never the country.
If anything the presence of a skater from a different country would push those anti-russian judges to underscore russians in order to let the other girl grabbing a medal.
But in a way this is already happening: if you study scores at these first three events, the top russian skater gets the big score (i'd argue sometimes even too big), while the other one is soo screwed because they always want to let the door open for another skater for the silver medal.
I'm saying this based on how much underscored were Kanysheva and Sinitsyna on the components, especially on the skating skills: it's a little pathetic, cause you're not pushing skaters to work more on the second mark this way.

idk too why Scherbakova score is super high, especially that SP... +4 GOE across the board and very high PCS also. But last season when Trusova and Kostornaia just debuted, their score is not that high. 65 SP for Trusova and 69 for Kostornaia (this is a bit higher than the other but still not 70+) 66 for Panenkova which is like Kanysheva Tarusina Sinitsyna score. for FP i think they are just not as good as the other and some are not even clean so its understandable the gap score. If it is all reputation it doesn't explain Shcherbakova's score and i love her packaging but seriously: you look at Tutberidze's trio and Panova's and i can't see those 12-15 points of difference.
At Jr nationals Kanysheva-Sinitsyna-Shcherbakova were basically on par after the SP (67-67-69), then Anna S. bombed the free and the other two actually beated her.
I had mentioned skating skills in particular because i believe Kanysheva and Sinitsyna have better skating skills than Kostornaya and Shcherbakova despite i can understand why the latters are far more enjoyable to watch (more flexible, they skate with more speed, they have better musicality...)

my point is: The second russian is often underscored, while the first one sometimes overscored.
Kanysheva could potentially get gold though in Yerevan and that would guarantee her a place in the final. By that time, Ye Lim and You would have already had their second JGP assignments, so Nana Araki is the only other potential contender besides the 2 Russian girls assigned to the event.
The weakest link to an all-Russian JGPF sweep would be Vasilieva's assignment in Ostrava. Nana and Ye Lim will have to duke it out there so Ye Lim doesn't have an easy path to silver, but I dare say that replacing Vasilieva with Guliakova or even Sinitsyna (who still has potential to turn the tables with Ye Lim if clean) could give a better chance of silver for Russia and thus keeping Ye Lim and Nana both out of the final.
Even if You gets 2nd in Canada, 3+2 is likely not to be good enough for the final in her case because Ye Lim currently has an 8-point advantage and Sinitsyna a 4-point advantage over her in terms of total score tie-breaker. Let's say we have the following (already close to worst-case scenario for Russian girls):
Canada -- Shcherbakova, Young, Tarakanova
Ostrava -- Kostornaia, Araki, Kim, Vasilieva (not that likely, Vasilieva may still find her way to the podium)
Ljubljana -- Trusova, Tarusina, Aoki or Iwano
Yerevan -- Kanysheva, Sinitsyna, Araki
Even in this worst-case scenario, the probability of a Russian JGPF sweep is still not completely lost:
Trusova, Shcherbakova, Kostornaia -- 30 points
Kanysheva -- 28 points
Tarusina -- 26 points
Last JGPF spot goes into a tie-breaker of 4 girls with 3+2 (Ye Lim, Sinitsyna, You, Araki). If Sinitsyna goes clean, there's still a chance of her winning the tie breaker on total score since the difference between her and Ye Lim is approx 4 points.
Different scoring systems, ISU even said that scores aren't comparable... My opinion is that Shcherbakova got quite lowballed in PCS and if she's clean, should score quite a bit higher in the next event.idk too why Scherbakova score is super high, especially that SP... +4 GOE across the board and very high PCS also.
