Lusk8, always the rainbow on Alinka's fanfest. :luv17: After seeing all the performances I can say that this nervous energy was even more clear, many mistakes were made, but I am sure that all these ladies will do wayyy better in the future competitions.
I think Alinka can gain even more ambition after this performance, because she'll want to prove what she's capable of. She really looked great during warm-up, so the jumps are there, it was just something caused by the pressure that she had to handle. :sad21:

You know, I don't think pressure is her real problem. When she talked about her performance at the worlds, she said she felt empty, not nervous or worried, she couldn't feel anything at all. It's a very bad feeling so I hope it's not the case this time :(

yeah the fact that her jumps were fine during warm up proves that she still has it! it's not a she-can-no-longer-jump case and that is re-assuring at least :agree:
 
Did she have a back injury? She looked injured throughout the FS... She looked fine in SP but in FS her back was bent the whole time. Thought it was an injury (or maybe the insta live cam was hazzy so it appeared that way)
 
Everything is all right, we all know she needs more time to get used to new programs, last season it was "swan" now it's Carmen and looks at her progress since The Ice, her SP has improved so much. She is real champion and her coaching team is brilliant.

At a particular moment I was asking myself the same question, but I don't think so, or if it's the case, we'll find out pretty soon. I think it was more the camera and the choreo, too. Also this is a video before the skate:

Guys, relax. This is just the test skates. Judge the program more than the performance. I am sure she is okay and will be in top form come the start of the season.
 
This is the best possible time (or less worse) for this to happen, they have time to work on everything and I don't think it's even that bad. The program was soo different to what she has done before, I'm sure she just needs to get used to it.

Is the 3T suposed to be after the flip? That would make a lot of sense, and I love that they changed the layout so much.

That is what I've noticed also, both 2A were fine but she didn't went for a combination so probably they are trying 3lz+ 3lo, 3F-2T-2lo & 3Lz/3F + 3T

I think the 3T is after the second 3Lz in the second half. She did the 3Lz-3T combo in the warm-up with rippon on both jumps. Anyway, the 3T after the flip or after the 3Lz means that she will have 2 combos in the second half plus the 3Lz3Lo in the first half.
 
I don't want to watch the video now. I'm sorry for any difficulty and frustration Alina is going through. She is still growing physically and mentally. As others have said this is only test skates and she has to get used to her programs and she should be fine by the time the season starts.
 
It is a good programme and Alina will master it I'm sure, with time! (Please Eteri, don'twash her head too much, it was hard enough as it is, even through streaming you can feel that one can cut the atmosphere with a knife...)
Get all these falls out of your system early in the season and slay it!
 
Everybody should remember that Alina's starts of the seasons were never clean and without falls. She obviously needs more time to adopt new programs. She is NOT a robot :agree:
