Its now the last 2 groups. Kerrs from GBR just skated to Last of the Mohicans. I really enjoyed them. Seem to have alot of power and suited the music.Audience really liked them. Currently in 1st.

Pernelle CARRON / Mathieu JOST FRA
French music with lady singing. Fun program.Think she had a stumble on twizzles. Good energy, looked slower than the Kerrs. 2nd so far.

Kristin FRASER / Igor LUKANIN 2nd so far. She has a bad back and looked in pain after the skate. Also had some small errors.

Anna CAPPELLINI / Luca LANOTTE fun jazzy program. He falls though. 3nd

Isabelle DELOBEL / Olivier SCHOENFELDER The Untouchables music. Looked so mature and powerful compaired to the itailans. Great lifts and highlights in the program. They look happy. 99.19 for the freedance and 1st overall.

That's a good score for them! Much higher than all season long. Much higher than in recent years. Go them!!! I hoipe they hold off the Russians and Bulgarians. They deserve a major Gold for once.

Jana KHOKHLOVA / Sergei NOVITSKI Music Rodrigo with also some arabian sounding music, She shows off her great flexibility. Expressive.
currently standing 2nd

Oksana DOMNINA / Maxim SHABALIN Polovetsian Dances .Classical program. Like how they seem to float on the ice. She ends with the splits.
100.39 for the free but 2ns overall.

*phew* the French stay in first but just barely, by .31 points. Well done, this is the first time they've beaten the Russians all season long. I hope they can do it again at Worlds.

Did the Russians deserve to be ranked ahead of them in the FD? I do like their FD unlike most, but I don't think their level compares to Del/Scho's ingenuity.

Albena DENKOVA / Maxim STAVISKI Mozart and romeo and juliet. Favourite free dance so far. Great power and speed, and highlights. Love how they skate to the music with the music building. 3rd

I thought D/S were going to win the Free but French still lead overall.

Federica FAIELLA / Massimo SCALI modern music. They didnt seem in the same league as the other couples in this grouping but i think this just was not their best skating. She lifts him and drops him on his head.

Denkova/Staviski in 3rd! Upset of the season. This leads Worlds open.

Mouthing off and giving in to all the worst stereotypes about Ice Dance judging:

Last years WC was a going away present for the bulgarians and they didn't get the hint. This Euros championship is going away present for the French, Russian D/S will win worlds. I hope I'm wrong because they're everything that keeps me from watching more dance, but .....

I hope that's not true, b/c I want to see the French continue to skate and get a Worlds and Olympic medal.

But you could be right.

Iam happy for the Kerrs from Scotland to get 5th. Great result and they are from the same town as my dad so maybe abit biased LOL!

Top five finish for the KERRS:clap: As long as the Kerrs end their careers with a Euro medal, World Medal, and most importantly OLYMPIC medal I will be happy.

11th place for the Zaretskis on their 2nd Euro apperance

The thing I cannot stand about Ice dancing is that everytime a Russian pair or skater retires there is another one to replace them on top of the poidum the following year and the thing is that they are just a generic copy of the one that just retired. No individuality, creative genius, or true beauty just ugly mafia backstabbing and cheating makes me sick.

Am I the only one who actually like the russians? Of course I know nothing about ice dancing, but I really enjoy their skating and quite frankly I find the french a bit boring this year.
