Random but I was rewatching Alina's 2017 senior nationals free skate and in there to start her choreo sequence she does a charlotte into a counter into a waltz jump! like, preparing her to compete the charlotte - counter - 2A?... I was really impressed.
Also I loved seeing Alina so happy at her scores and silver medal, it was really adorable

I've heard of several fans that are going but not a meet up per se. Garrett is one of these fans (here is his instagram https://www.instagram.com/skatingpics17/ and his twitter https://twitter.com/Skatingpics17 ). He gave Alina that huge owl, Owlina, at Helsinki. Maybe he knows something and knows of other fans that are going.

Yes that was a lovely moment, Alina was super happy.
They've been building that charlotte (and bracket) entry for the longest time, last season they started building the charlotte into the 3Lz in her EX, she is doing it this season too. They test things in the EX and then use them in the programs.
The charlotte + bracket entry into the 2A this season is a stunning move.
