I may be wrong but it was the first ever landed quad (4T) after two consecutive crashes.

Dud anyone of boys attempted a quad after such disastrous start?

Stephen Gogolev, the Junior GPF winner. In the LP, he fell on 4 Lutz, landed 4T afterwards.

But Stephen fell only once I presume. Asked about recovery after 2+ falls on quads (or just two falls).
I remember Urmanov liked to land quad and crash almost all the rest of jumps... 25y ago...

The men dont usually do that. They either 1) recover after 1st fall
2) Pop it to triple if it not working the 2nd time round. More so now with the new rules.

If they dont recover, it's a continued splatfest.
Most recent was Shoma during WC 2018, 3 falls due to him skating with right foot injury. Some how, Shoma managed to finished overall 2nd.
Boyang Jin 5 falls, also WC 2018, finished 18th. And of course, Yuzuru at 2014 COC, 4 to 5 falls with a bandage in his head. Finished 2nd.

BUT that was under the old rules, now falls cost more. There is a cap in the PCS scores if there are multiple falls(9.0 & 9.5), this is to counter the multiple quad falls.

So, Trusova need to have a Plan B, C and not just blindly have a go at it. She loses pts this way, 4Lz +Rep fall even more.
As can be seen, this is why she didnt win the Junior GPF but a non quadster won it.
