Alina Zagitova

This interview :sad4: and to think Eteri was at Helsinki with Alina the week before her mother passed.

I remember the Rostelecom documentary showed only Alina and Daniil because Eteri had taken a earlier flight to Russia.

I will add my thoughts as soon as I put myself together...
Amazing! I will just say this..Eteri is a very strong woman, it takes so much power to be always so tough on the outside, to make everyone around you feel safe and secure, and yet so full of emotions on the inside! She is an amazing coach for her students, not only for FS, but also for life.

Thank you Eteri, for everything you do for FS! I am very sorry for your loss!:sad21::sad21:

It was a terrific interview by Ted Barton. Kind of emotional too at the end when she was talking about her mother. Eteri is more than just an intimidating great coach who rules with an iron fist or spiked heel and that's good to know. I like seeing the human side and the warm side of this much talked about woman.

Well, I think I won't write anything new to what I've written elsewhere or what other people have written. Eteri is, for me, caring, intelligent woman, surprisingly shy and fragile, even is she appears strong and stark to many people. Yes, it requires bulldog's nature to achieve such accomplishements she has reached practically from nothing, but that doeasn't mean she doean't care about people around herself.

Also, I noticed she bites her lips sometimes in a very similar way to Alina

Thank you this was a very enlightening interview and very touching. I really like Eteri, I appreciate her work and how hard she pushes herself, being a woman in a position of power is not easy.

She is obviously very caring toward how she presents each skater and she developed Alina in a beautiful way, we can really see her vision for the long term.

She is a strong woman, so much works under pressure

Great interview! Thanks for posting!
It´s so nice to see a softer side to Eteri. I sometimes forget how young these top athletes are, and it´s so great to see her mentioning that they´re like parents for these kids. Alina is a teenager after all, who must have so many life related questions ...
So Eteri and Sergei would be like mom and dad figures, and Daniil the crazy uncle/big brother? lol

Alina wasn‘t at practice today... Alena, Sasha and Anna were all there but I could find neither her nor Eteri on the stream and I kept looking for Alina all the time. I hope she‘s okay. Did she ever miss a practice session before? :(

Daniil said in an interview that she will be tmr there.

Okay, thank you, that‘s relieving. I‘m sorry I kinda panicked for a moment but seeing the other Eteri girls there without Alina made me worry. But I‘m so glad that everything‘s fine and we‘ll get to see Alina slay after all. :)

Tatjana Flade always a voice of reason and good news <3

I remember when she had to answer to a lot of conspiracy theorists in her instagram at Ondrej Nepala when Alina wasn't allowed to fly there...

I do not know what is happening, it is one thing for fans to post on a forum asking about Alina but Russian media is writing articles speculating too. :dev2:

"Zagitova will fly to Saransk on December 20" actually earned its own article. At least we have Tatjana Flade....

Tatjana Flade also said Alina will arrive tomorrow and everything is fine :luv17:

Arrive tomorrow? When is SP?

I sure hope Alina goes to the world championships five days before the short program. Arriving in Vancouver only a couple days before you short program in the Grand Prix final did not pay off for Alina.

Usually, from the past competitions, I know that Eteri prefer to go last minute. And her skaters are doing only 2 practices before the short program.
The reason is that they have better conditions at their rink, much more ice time, and they don t want to take the skaters from their environment.
Now, I don t know why the juniors went earlier though. There are indeed speculations about Alina and a possible injury. I hope that this is not true.
