Alina Zagitova

It's like happy end in the hollywood movie, really! I'm tear eyed. :sad21:
I also can't watch it live, but only because I'm a coward

Hollywood should take notes, Alina’s story would make an amazing movie

MY ALINAAAAA!! I am just so so so proud! Last year Worlds and with the previous competition this season I have always felt how difficult it is to bear the pressure they have on you. I felt like crying seeing you frustated and sad. Now look at you!!! You have shown the world what a champion really is. You are a fighter, you have always inspired me and everyone of us!!!

Coach Eteri Tutberidze commented on the victory of Alina Zagitova at the world championships in figure skating in Saitama, Japan.

“I was very worried. Very worried.

We are very happy. Harder is given - more appreciated.

We will go now eat is not only sushi - let's go eat everything , ”said Tutberidze on the First Channel.

This time she can’t held back because of Zhenia. Did you notice ? She jumped on the podium like the olympics and this time there was the national anthem.
Yup Alina can eat all the sushis she wants, she deserves it and Eteri will treat her :clapper:

When Alina started tearing up after finishing her fs, it brought me back to exactly a year ago when she started tearing up after her disastrous fs. Just made me realise how much she has gone through to reach this moment.

Great point and analogy. Last year's World was a disaster for and she should not have been there. This year's world's was divine and golden for Alina and deservedly so. :)

Alina just went down in history. First female skater since Yuna Kim to win all major titles (my two faves, yayyyy) and all of that at 16. She must be the most successful under 20 athlete in the world.

I was just going to post the same! First Russian lady to hold all of the titles!

At age 16, Alina Zagitova becomes the youngest female skater to earn a Grand Slam. She is the 2nd female skater, and the youngest skater to win all major ISU titles; Olympics, Worlds, GPF, Europeans, Jr Worlds, JGPF since the introduction of the IJS judging system in 2004.

Survivor at the Gala is going to kill us all!

Victory ceremony

Thanks! ❤️❤️❤️

Broke my heart a little when she welled up after her skate. I know it’s tears of happiness/relief but it shows the tremendous amount of pressure on her tiny shoulders. So estactic that she won! The best answer to all her critics and people who doubted her.

Congratulations to Alina! Well deserved Gold Medal! I wish at my age I had half the determination and spirit that this
young lady has shown today.

Does anyone know what Alina’s favorite dessert or food is? I would love to watch the skate with a celebratory something to honour the occasion?

Hmmmm I wonder if Eteri changed something in Alina’s training. I know Japan is a good place for her but She seemed more relaxed and less exhausted than the europeans.

Survivor is really fitting here! What a way to end this season.

And guys, I'm SO SO happy for that win, because it means much more then just gold. Alina collects the Slam and she become an absolute legend.

But what's more, she showed everyone how determined she is. She shut up all people who dared to claim she was just lucky kid at the Olympic. A lot of peole was like - only if she won World title after body changes, i'll give her credit - and here she is - she grown, her body change a lot in very short period, and more, she had to overcome Olympic glory, and she still manage win that title. After all strugles. Also I'm so glad to sea those photos: https://www.instagram.com/p/BvUHiEFndS5/ (swipe 5x) ! Whole Words there were so many photos picturing them against each other, some people even tried to make a drama there. And here they are. They ruin the world together once again (w/ Lilbet). They both have to come a long way to Words, half a world was questioning their nomination and waiting for their failure. I think this also can bring a free energy for them, it was probably really tought to be there in one team again, everybody was looking at them, but they manage it briliantly, now, that pressure coming from the team changes is done. And I'm glad for that. Next year will be huge pressure even without that.

At the end, Evgenia sumarized it the best:
Zagitova finished only fifth at this season's Russian nationals, while Evgenia Medvedeva did not qualify for the Grand Prix Final.
But Medvedeva said: "The world championship medals are already proof that we are not done." (Olympic channel)
They are not done. What's more, Alina oficially confirm at the press that she will continued to compete. Looking for thaaat ...Can't wait till the gala and I'm already thinking about her new programs, but I have no ideas!!! :scratch2::laugh:

Does anyone know what Alina’s favorite dessert or food is? I would love to watch the skate with a celebratory something to honour the occasion?
I think, it's a sushi. And if it is, more likely it's an american rolls. With philadelphia and such.

I'm just so happy right now:luv17: like this doesn't feel real. I wanted so badly for Alina to win gold to see her truly happy and to silence all the critics. Now that this actually happened, I am in a state of bliss :) I couldn't have asked for anything more :biggrin::pray:

I can say that this entire season and especially these Worlds had totally exhausted me...Today I cried again, at the end of Alina's program, but there were only tears of joy and happiness :sad21::sad21::yahoo::yahoo:

I don't have enough words to express what this girl has done this entire season...I will just say a sincere "Thank you, amazing, unbelievable, superwoman Alina", for fighting all the difficulties how you did, for delighting us with your amazing performances this season, the post-Olympic season., for being an example for how every sports-person and human in general should behave, for your fight, motivation, kindness and love. She has now the entire set of medals, at such a young age, she is already legend, and she still wants to impress us even more during the seasons to come. She deserved it, she deserved it so much, and I am so proud and happy for her.

My desire came true...we saw a perfect Carmen today, and a standing ovation for the World Champion. Because today, Alina was Carmen. :yahoo:

Alina is saving the best for last, im happy for her after all the ups and downs that she had this season she's truly a survivor, i hope she continue this positive attitude she has right now and just keep fighting whatever adversity it may come for her in the future. Again Congrats to our new World Champion.

Dear friends, I want to thank you, all of you!
It's not only Alinochka, who made me happy, but all of you.
When I am at this fanfest, I am at ease, I fell warm and happy. Because all people, who post there, be it guest or regular, are so kind, tenderhearted and supportive! We all know, it was a very difficult year. Not for Alina only, but for us, her fans, as well. And here was the place I could find a peace.
I really don't know, if I be able to thank you enough, but THANK YOU anyway. :thank: :thank: :thank:
I cried a little, when I was writing it. :o:
