The crowd surrounded her calling her name, trying to give her gifts and wanting autographs. She was stuck standing there, with her hands already full of flowers, because she didn't have her skate guards. So she couldn't just keep walking. There was a blond woman with her calling out for someone to get her skate guards. It appeared to be a stressful situation.
On one of TeamZagitova's IG posts someone clarified in a comment that Alina wasn't hurt. No one was grabbing her. I think someone else said she might have been worried about Masaru. I don't know if Masaru was with her in that moment because you can't see anything, but that would have been extremely upsetting to me to have my dog caught up in that crowd.

It sounds like they just didn't know quite how to organize things. The announcer asked the crowd not to throw presents on the ice but to give them directly to the skaters. Well, the crowd did as it was told. And it apparently worked out ok with some of the skaters but Alina has reached that next level of popularity.
Hopefully, they can figure something else out for tomorrow.
Apparently (according to some IG comments from people who were there) that video was just a few seconds of a stressful moment and after Alina got her skate guards and could walk through the crowd she took some pictures with fans and was smiling again.
At any rate she and Masaru seem fine now!

I can't either. They meant well. And kids want autographs, selfies and hugs from their idol. There's nothing wrong with that. I guess Team Tutberidze didn't take it into consideration. Unfortunately it turned into -

I saw a lot of appreciation for those words from Alina's Russian fans on various sites. They have been waiting to hear that kind of acknowledgement for her from Channel 1 in particular. Well, the wait is over. The time has arrived and her moment is NOW.
