I'm wondering whether they might WD Taira Shinohara from Ljubljana and send Jacob there instead. It would be tough on Taira, but Jacob has one win already and therefore has the best chance of making the JGP final.

Agreed, Jacob will be given a second JGP. Ironic that his original second one was given to Patrick Blackwell after Patrick medaled.

I am so torn, because young Jacob swaggering to "Footloose" turning into mature showman Jacob, I am here for it.

But I would love to see Taira again, especially the SP choreo'd by Jason Brown, that he skates so well.

I want them both. :)

The Chinese skater Ruiyang ZHANG 张瑞洋(sounds same with Ruiyang ZHANG 张瑞阳 who competed in JGP women last season) who competes in men‘s event this time, is actually the son of Min ZHANG. Min ZHANG represented China in 2002 and 2006 winter Olympic Games, he had 4T and 4S, and was one of the earliest skater who had quads.

Is this the youth Olympic games? How many 3As are we going to see in the women's event? :dbana:
Really wish them all well...qualifying for the grand final is going to be a bit of a nightmare. :cheer2:
Brings up some memories, right? The old days when a 15 y.o. DOB lottery winner at the peak of her teen jumps made a rocket rise to bag the Olympic gold...

Nah, this time we are going to have something better than that. We are going to have several 15 y.os at the peak of their teen jumps competing with each other (Von Felten vs Kim this time and possibly Von Felten vs Kim vs Shimada in the Final) and it is fairly possible that we are going to have it every year now
