2024 PGE Warsaw Cup: Info and pre-game chat

There was a stream last year and iirc the competition was commented in English by Noelle Streuli (Polish jr woman champion) mom.

Yes there was a stream, and it did have English commentary. But I'm afraid you picked the mother of the wrong Junior skater.

The commentator was former American skater Diana Lapierre, the mother of Catherine-Charlotte LAPIERRE, who finished 7th in Junior Ladies at the Polish Championships last season.

Ha ha, as the Polish saying goes: I heard the sound of a bell, but I didn't know which church it was in. Thank you for correcting.

I don't know how I missed this, but based on the entry list and her updated bio, Nargiz Sueleymanova (former German Junior Champion) switched from Germany to Azerbaijan and is now training in Canada
that will be interesting 3 German Women are listed. Sueleymanova, Sauter and Isaev, one competing for Azerbaijan, one for Romania, only one for Germany.

Withdrawals:

Matvii Yefymenko
Gabriel Folkesson

Ana Sofia Beschea

Anastasia Golubeva / Hektor Giotopoulos Moore
Isabella Gamez / Aleksandr Korovin

Holly Harris / Jason Chan
I hope Gol/Moore are okay healthwise. They are also signed up for Golden Spin CS.
Gam/Kor got assigned to Cup of China, their first ever Grand Prix!

Hello everyone, can confirm that I've brought Emilea, Vadym, Eva and Logan plus Coach Igor to Warsaw (flew on the same flight from Helsinki)
PS. Emilea carried her flower crown firmly attached to backpack ;)

Thank you so much for crowning her. 👑 🌻 It looked so beautiful on her.

You could see just how happy she was to get one. So, I am not surprised that she had it pride of place on her backpack, where she could keep an eye on it and make sure it did not get damaged, for the flight.

Did they see you, or did you get talking to them or anything?

So jealous that you are getting to see them skating in competition in person four times in the space of seven days.

Hope you enjoy yourself this week as much as you did last week.

Emilea's reaction in KnC, doing a lot of photos in the crown and not even taking it off for backstage really moved me, because as I've already mentioned in Finlandia Trophy FD thread: I've never expected this, but if it makes them happy, I'll keep doing that.

Actually...I think Emilea 'clocked' me as I was on my way to the plane seat in second to last row because I had a crown chest (weaved, but not finished) in my hand (did some work at the airport), but I just didn't stop. Maybe it's just me, but I'm never sure if skaters are comfortable with approaching them. I think I will have a chance to chat with them and say my gratitude in Warsaw ;). Plus they are getting a set of 2 crowns there, so Emilea will have a choice for herself :)

Wow at all the pairs switcharoo teams all listed in a clunk (there are a couple more lower down the list like Shin/Nagy)

I highlighted those who are Canadians or have briefly represented Canada. If I am not mistaken, only Noël-Antoine didn't train in Canada but all others have at some point.... but for Noël, his previous partner was a Canadian...
Only person missing from this switcharoo is Thierry Ferland LOL

I am amusing myself because it seems like CAN doesn't send skaters out much.. but in fact, there are Canadians everywhere, just not skating for Canada. Sigh

Gabriella IZZO / Luc MAIERHOFERAUT
Fiona BOMBARDIER / Benjamin MIMARCAN
Brooke MCINTOSH / Marco ZANDRONESP
Tilda ALTERYD / Noel-Antoine PIERREFRA
I thought Tilda Alteryd was Swedish. Does she have a dual citizenship?

Hey everyone! Does someone know the Sportity password for Warsaw Cup? I found about this app a few weeks ago and it's really easier to follow the events but I don't know how to get passwords 😢
Hi Viktoriia, I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm hoping someone else here does. I wanted to welcome to Golden Skate though! As we say here, post long and post often!

I've been trying to track one down. I tried a variation on the password for last year, it did not work.
