I just watched their free program for the first time that was awesome! Love the choreography and connection - a huge step up for them! One thing I poster commented on was that apparently their speed is noticeably lacking compared to the top teams. I always got the impression they were moving fairly quickly because they definitely do give the impression that they are attacking the elements, but perhaps just a little more work on their basics and speed generation is what they need. I have to say, I think that is my favorite program of any pairs team this year. There are areas that could definitely develop throughout the year and have a bit more complexity, but there are also some really innovative choreographic highlights. Of all the teams I have seen this year, they are the team that has included the most new to them choreographic elements.I am not sure but I guess, looking at their competition experience, that they haven't been sent out a lot in the challenger events. It's harder to build your reputation when you are competing in events like Worlds, 4CC or even GPs where much more experienced skaters are also competing. Skate Canada should send them to smaller events for them to place better and earn higher scores just like many of the European teams do.
