Mens' LP

I love Patrick's last step sequence! The flow is just unbelievable and to watch him close out a fab program with it...well, it gives me the chills!

Patrick was a bit under Evan AND Vaughn on TES (righfully so) but his PCS were about 6 points higher (and in my opinion, rightfully so).

Jeremy popped the quad , fell on 3Lz, nice flow, very musicality. slight slow at the end. good job:clap::clap:

160 points? No Quad, no 3A-combo, just one 3A, 3-3 in the first half... More PCS than I think Lambiel ever got. It's like the judges are saying: we got Joubert really mad last time - now lets find another skater with even less jumping difficulty and give him close to record-scores.

I think they are doing this so they can crown Chan in Vancouver. Nobody will ask by that time, because he has been getting huge scores all the time.

Haven't seen it, but from reading descriptions (which are much appreciacted btw!) that sounds fair.

Wow, Patrick beats Evan with no quad, a popped 3A, and hand-down on another jump. Amazing!

Oh, Jeremy! I was just thinking this is the most enjoyable LP so far (despite popping the quad), when he went down on an UR'ed 3Z. I even thought that if he skates clean he might beat Evan, too, since it'd be comparable or slightly better than Patrick's program. But... into third now, I think.

Evan looked really confused and pissed when he saw Patrick's marks. I think Patrick has officially joined the very elite club of men's skating in the judges' minds (and maybe Evan has fallen out of it).

We haven't seen it, right?
ppl who have say it's fair.

What was that during his final spin? I was about to write 'other than those two mistakes on jumps Jeremy was really great.' and then he tripped.
Anyway, other than those two mistakes on jumps and one little bubble on his last spin, he was really great! Jeremy!!!

Into 4th, 5th in the LP, behind Vaughn, ahead of Vaughn overall.

Go Nobu!!

Gorgeous clean quad from Nobu, just decided to sit down and take a rest it seemed.

Jeremy Abbott

Eight Seasons
taking his time to start

2t
3f good
3a good
3s out of nowhere
3a-3t forward on ax but fine
not looking as crisp as he needs i think.. circ footwork
3lz bad takeoff fall
3lo-2t-2lo
2a-2t so-so flow
not sharp in last spin

as a program, following Chan's, this bored me. A bit patchy. But he was clearly tentative and/or a bit off.

explaining to coach he was struggling to feel ready when he was called. Interesting hearing him analyze his performance in K&C.

141.27 -- 216.94 -- 4th
looks pained at the score...

Patrick scored 8.15 8.05 8.20 for PE CH IN in program components.
One thing i noticed about Patrick is that his skating is so seamless from one movement to the next and has wonderful flow and edge quality. I guess he is one of those skaters that is a skaters skater and judges understand the difficulty.

ITA. He's kind of like Jeff in that fact, only better and younger lol.

Look at the scores!

Chan: TES 80,19 PCS 80,10
Chipeur: TES 80,71 PCS 64,10

What do you mean, how is the incredible difference of 16 points !!! (25 % !!!) in PCS to explain.

Is it a new scandal?

I am so proud of all the Canadian men! I am most impressed with Jeremy Ten...awesome skate and I just love seeing skaters so overjoyed with their marks! I believe Chan deserved to beat Evan, Evan did have one of his triple axels downgraded - I thought his quad was also suspect. Great competition! An off-hand note, I wish men would not wears gloves. It drives me absolutely crazy when they do!

Noburi fell on quad. His presentation was better than the SP, stepped out 3A, nice flow. I don't thnk he can take over Evan. We'll see??
