Mens SP

Brian overscored, Mroz possibly underscored... I thought Mroz was amazing! I watched him in the warm up and thought there was no way he was going to land that triple axel; but he did; and GORGEOUS triple triple! Yes, he lacks experience, and you can see that in his skating, but his musical interpretation is pretty good and that should count for something too!
I still can't believe Brian is in first; yes the program is interesting, despite the weird music he still pulls it off. But those jump landings were messy to say the least, so no way he could/should have received positive GOE's for them...

For those of you who are not watching on BOLD, PJ Kwong stated after Brian stood at the Boards waiting for the music to start his footwork sequence "Standing at the boards to start your footwork sequence, pause , isn't very creative, pause there I said it"

Too funny.

I agree the program is not that great, and kinda boring.

That's not too bad... He got the full base value of his elements. Isn't this the first time he ever went for the 4-3 - I remember him doing only 4-2 before.

About Joubert - he lost 3 points on the combo, but got the full base value. The rest was just like at Euros and at CoR. Deduct those 3 points from his PB of nearly 87 - you got 84. I don't know how he got more on tech than Lysacek, perhaps they hit the wrong GOE for his 3A, you know +3 instead of +1.

PJ's predictions:

Gold - Chan
Silver - Lysacek
Bronze - Bronze
