Jessica WORTH (GBR) was "California Dreaming" . But she was doing it with Sia rather than The Mamas And The Papas.

I love Sia, but for this song I prefer the original.

Skating was good.

She goes into 3rd position.

Hang on, I do know this song. I just hadn't heard the start of it before. I had just heard the title line before, "Groove Is In The Heart".

No, this is not a song for skating to. And I thought that the fall was the universe's way of telling Alayna COATS (USA) that!

But, she seemed to be enjoying herself out there, so what do I know?

She goes into 3rd position.

When Venla SINISALO (FIN)'s music started and I heard cow bells, I thought "not two weird choices in a row".

But then the backing music came in, and I realised what it was. "Allegria". And I thought "Oh, yes!"

That was a great programme!

I normally like green dresses, but she's been listening to too much Johnny Cash, because that dress was more "40 Shades Of Green". It was too much.

Ah, she has the same coach as Darja.

She goes into the lead. And deservedly so.

"Love Story" programmes always get me. When I was a kid, I had a music box mechanism that played "Where Do I Begin?" (just the mechanism, mind you). So the song has a personal meaning for me.

Everything about that was beautiful. The music. The back dress. And the skating.

Never came across Rachel SAMIRI (USA) before.

My goodness, seeing her waiting for her scores, she looks so much like my kid that is coming up in the next group, Marilena Kitromilis.

Rachel wins the Short Programme.

Now it's time for the dinner break. Very late in the day, if you ask me. Mealtime wise, it would have been better before the Junior girls. But it makes more sense having it now as a means of splitting the Junior and the Senior competitions.

Back in 50 minutes for the Senior girls.

Which is just long enough for me to get even more nervous for my girls!

I have three kids in this competition. And thankfully, there are two skaters in between each of them. So, it will give me a chance to recover from one, and prepare for the next!

"That Don't Impress Me Much" by Shania Twain!

That graphic covering Marilena doesn't impress me much! All we can see is her head!

When it disappeared, she did a jump. Unfortunately the landing left a lot to be desired.

The camera then left her for a while. And when it came back, we saw her doing a series of small jumps. And then she went to the other end of the rink and did a bigger jump. They all looked good!

When the camera zoomed out in the second half of the Warm-Up (which appropriately enough was to "The Power Of Love" by Huey Lewis And The News), we saw her lining up a jump. And she just about managed to do it within camera shot. Unfortunately, it was popped.

If I wasn't nervous before, I am now.

But, this is the warm-up. Hopefully everything will go well when it counts.

Alex EVANS (USA) kicks it off with an accoustic version of "Toxic" (don't know who was singing it), followed by Britney's original version.

She was wearing a gold dress, but it didn't quite get the look of Britney's gold dress.

She should have done like Liza Tuktamysheva and gone for the Air Hostess outfit.

Boys but I loved that programme of Liza's! So, I'm probably biased in comparing every "Toxic" programme to it.

I cannot get over how alike the Joos sisters are.

I loved Noemi's SP earlier, and I loved Sarina's SP there now.

Boys but I love this girl!

It didn't sound like there was a change of music, but the singer in the second half didn't sound like Indila. It was still in French though.

You jinxed her! She fell on the first jump!

But, apart from that, it was beautiful.

You know, after seeing wat she did there now, she has a chance here.

Or maybe not.

"I Made You Look" by Meghan Trainor.

Ach this is going to be so hard keeping track of 2 skaters.

Stefania had the same problem as Marilena in that she was the first skater the camera focussed on, and was partially hidden behind the graphic. But when it disappeared, we saw her do a long and beautiful step sequence.

Finally, the camera finds Aleks. Lovely jump.

When the camera came back to Stefania, she did another short step sequence followed by a beautiful jump. The camera then stayed a long time on her waiting for her to do something else. She tried to line up a jump, but too many skaters were in the way. And then the camera picked up somebody else.

Laughing at them playing "Black Or White" by Michael Jackson. There are a lot of skaters in this group wearing black, but none wearing white!

Emma LYONS (GBR) skating to "Something's Gotta a Hold On Me" by Etta James.

Not a song I would have imagined somebody skating to, but it worked.

The gold dress, though, didn't work. Gold clothing doesn't suit Emma.

On the whole, I enjoyed that.

She goes into 6th position.

Things going well again.

Ach, she fell!

But she recovered an the rest of the programme was beautiful.

Aleks is such a beautiful skater. It's just a pity that it is rare that she goes clean.

I think this is the first time I've seen Saskia ZAINCHKOVSKAYA (GBR). And I honestly don't know what to make of her. She's different.

Very different music. Very different dress.

The two falls early on are going to be very costly.

Nobody sitting with her. Must have the same coach as Genevieve.

She looks frustrated.

She goes into 8th position.
