Sorry, I was a bit premature posting this. I heard the trumpets and assumed it was starting. But, rather than marking the start of competition, they were marking the start of speeches.

Now this is bad scheduling. The Junior Ladies SP in Almaty is starting at the top of the hour, and the Junior Ladies SP in Gdańsk started 15 minutes earlier.

I'm going to concentrate on this, but pop over to the Solidarity Cup.

Mmmmm. I don't like this TES Box.

It's the same as the one that the French Fed displays at their events after the programme finishes. And I like it then, because you can see how the reviews are going. But it is far too big to be on display during the programme. It really takes over the screen.

And I only just realised - it doesn't actually tell you the GOE!

I'm not even attempting it. I'm staying here, but I will pop over to Gdańsk for the Irish girl. It's the only Junior GP she'll ever do because she ages out of Juniors at the end of this season, and I've never seen her before, so I'm curious to see what she is like and how she gets on.

But, this event is the priority for me today. Not least because I've got a kid in the next group...

Pretty dress, though from a distance the pink is too close to flesh and it looks a bit too bare...

You wait ages for a bus, and two come along at once! Zhasmin's second competition less than a week after her last one.

Couldn't spot her on the aerial shot. Far too high - it was like watching ants.

Took a long time for me to spot her when they went down to ground level. She wasn't wearning her jacket, and I couldn't remember what her SP dres looked like. And it didn't help that the director was constantly cutting between skaters.

We saw her do a nice combination jump. And then a few moments later a nice individual jump. ANd then we saw her taking off for another jump, but it cut to another skater.

Shortly afterwards, we saw he do another jump with a dodgy landing.

A few moments later, we saw her doing a combination spin that didn't go too well.

Looking forward to seeing how she gets on in action again so soon after her last competition.

I absolutely loved the whole concept of this programme when KIM Minsong (KOR) did it in Ankara a few weeks ago. It didn't go too well for her then, but it went much better today.

She goes miles into the lead! Well, just over 11 points.

She couldn't believe it!

Oh, look. It's Karina SHEINA (KAZ), who Ted and Mark maintain had never competed internationally before her Junior GP last week, even though she has won two international competitions, in Thailand and Abu Dhabi.

She goes into 4th position here.

I thought Flying Sit Spin was beautiful, but it is under review.

Final Spin beautiful, but awkward getting into finishing position.

And, like last week, she does a cartwheel in between her bows.

It's a pity that LEE Jiyoon (KOR) ran out of space and had to fall on the Triple Loop to avoid hitting the boards. Because otherwise, that was really good.

She goes into 3rd position.

Just 0.01 points behind Sienna KACZMARCZYK (AUS) in 2nd position!
