I've been dying to see this programme. The music is absolutely brilliant!

Love the choreography at the start.

Beautiful opening jump.

Second jump was too, as was the combination spin immediately afterwards.

Combination jump looked like it was just about got.

The speed of that spin!

She is really getting into the choreography.

Wow!

That is all I can say. Wow!

When I heard the music, I knew this was going to be an great programme. But, I didn't imagine that it would be THIS good.

Oliviia wins the Short Programme.

She seems a bit disappointed with the score. For goodness sake, you're leading by 14.36 points, miles ahead of everybody else!

It's an early start today, as there are a lot of Interclub competitions to get through. And it begins with a Beginners quadruple-bill. There is one boy competing, and he has been placed in the middle of the three girls competitions.

And now coming out to seal the title is the youngest of my kids!

At the start of the Warm-Up, we saw Oliviia going across the background of the shot, and then across the foreground of the shot. And then the same again, only this time she was doing some stretches when going across in the background.

Ach, that was unfortunate. Oliviia came into the middle of the camera shot, and stopped to do some spins, but then the Start Order graphic appeared, hiding her. And we didn't see her until she moved away to go out of camera shot.

She came back into shot just as the graphic disappeared, and went into the middle and very casually did a sequence of three jumps, all lovely, and moved out of shot again.

When she came back into shot, she casually did another three jumps in sequence in the middle. They were lovely too! And then moved out of shot.

Over the next couple of minutes, we just saw her go across the shot three times. But on the fourth cross, you could see she was circling around lining up a jump. So, it was no surprise when she immediately came back into shot and casually did another sequence of three jumps.

I am describing her as doing the jumps casually, but that is because Oliviia makes them look so effortless. It just looks like they are coming out of no-where.

It actually looked like she couldn;t decide what to do next. She headed back towards where I assume her Mum was positioned, but then she came back into shot and started lining up a jump, but did it out of shot. And then she headed back again.

We briefly saw her at the edge of shot doing a bit of her step sequence, and then we saw her coming across shot practicing her edges a couple of times.

After the one minute warning, we saw her do one jump, and then she went into the middle of the shot and started practicing the choreography at the start of the programme. And then when the announcer came on to tell them to leave the ice, she decided to throw in one final jump, but it was done out of shot.

You know, I'm pretty sure she did more jumps in this warm-up than she will do in the programme itself! How many skaters do that?!

Very intense music for such a young girl.

Beautiful choreography at the start.

Beautiful jump, and so was Change Foot Combination Spin immediately afterwards.

Beautiful sequence of jumps.

So was individual jump.

And the next one as well.

Beautiful Flying Sit Spin

Whole ending section including Choreographic Sequence was beautiful.

I'm sorry for using the word "beautiful" to describe everything she did! But, there isn't an alternative word that does justice to what she was doing out there. It was beautiful.

I liked the way she did more bows than most skaters do, to make sure absolutely nobody was missed out. That is a girl who appreciates etiquette and politeness.

Big hug with her Mum when she comes off the ice.

Big waves from Oliviia when they get to the results area. She's very happy.

Oh, Irina has pointed out that Oliviia has forgotten something, so Oliviia rushes off from the results area to get it, leaving behind her grey teddy bear wearing a hoody. And then her Mum follows, carrying the team jacket.

Oliviia runs in holding a white teddy bear while the announcer is saying something that I can't make out. Mum follows, still carrying the team jacket.

Mum now has the grey teddy bear, and Oliviia is getting very excited waiting for the scores.

She wins the FS by over 20 points, and overall by over 40 points.

Oliviia is in shock when the scores are announced. And no wonder- she has beaten the Absolute PB scores for both the FS and overall that she achieved on Sunday in Estonia by a whisker under 10 points!!!



This little girl is a star in the making.

Another early start for the final day of the Volvo Open Cup. Today is completely in the Interclub part of the event, starting off with the remaining FS competitions for the younger skates, and then moving to the Adult FS competitions, before finishing with all the Elements competitions (youngsters and adults). We begin with a Cubs B triple-bill.
