Just had a look at the Sportity page. Today's stream is linked to on there! :palmf: It is a free stream on YouTube, but it is not on the same channel as last year. The stream is actually unlisted on YouTube, which is why I couldn't find it by doing a search.

Here is the link for today's stream:

It started about 15 minutes ago.

Hope this helps

Popping in LIVE for the Group 2 Warm-Up, And they are doing the type of introductions that I like - presenting the skaters in the middle of the ice. But, they are doing it with a twist - they are turning the lights off and putting a spotlight on the skater as they are introduced.

Although I have seen SONG Xiangyu (CYP)'s name before (she was the Intermediate Novice 🥈 Silver Medallist at the 2024 Cyprus Championships), I haven't actually seen her before.

Oooh. She had a fall. It might just have been the camera angle, but it looked like she was actually tripped by another skater. But, she got up, and circled around again to the same spot, but this time was keeping a closer eye on where other skaters were.

We saw a nice spin from her at the very end of the Warm-Up.

I think I made a good decision joining for this group.

That pogramme from the first skater in the group, #6 Valerija KIREMSHINA (LAT), was right up my street. You all know I love programmes to Middle Eastern music.

Her dress fitted the theme, but it was too close to her skin colour. From a distance, it looked like she was wearing very little.

Unfortunately, the Livescoring isn't working. But according to the graphic on the stream, she went into 3rd position.

Emilija MORTUKANE (LAT) was doing a Charlie Chaplin programme. And was wearing a very sparkly suit.

She has two older team-mates (a boy and a girl) sitting with her.

She goes into 2nd position.

That was a programme of contrasts from Emilia KY (FIN) It started with a very dark version of "Once Upon A Dream" from "Sleeping Beauty". And then it switched to a more upbeat song that I didn't know.

She was wearing a pink dress.

She goes into the lead.

Now for the girl that belongs to the biggest skating club in Cyprus, the Amathusia club in Limassol.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST XIANGYU!!! :cheer:

CaroLiza_fan

She is wearing an 💃 Olè dress, which was mainly black but the end of the skirt part was red.

Confusingly, she was skating to Chinese music. Chinese rapping at that.

Rapping is not really my thing. But, it was interesting to see what Xiangyu was doing with it.

She is not the fastest of skaters, but the camera operator is struggling to keep her in shot.

Gaaaah!!!! The stream froze about two thirds through the programme. So we missed the ending section of her programme!!!

Although the pictures came back when she was in her finishing position, it took a long time to switch to the camera in the results area.

She is sitting on her own.

Unfortunately, the graphics aren't working now, so we don't know where she slotted in.

EDIT: She went into 9th position.

:cheer: WELL DONE XIANGYU!!! :cheer:

Jelizaveta DIBRIVNIJA (LAT) was skating to a beautiful French song. The voice sounds familiar, but I can't place who she is.

She is wearing a dress that is mainly black, but with red patches on it.

I really enjoyed that programme.

Awwww. As well as a coach, she has a little girl sitting with her. The girl is wearing a hoodie with Experiment 626 (i.e. Stitch from "Lilo & Stitch") on the front. I wonder if she will be competing at some stage of the event.

She goes into 9th position.

Leandra NIIDUMAA (EST) was wearing a black jumpsuit with a silver stripe down the left sleeve, and a silver belt.

She is skating to "Control" by Halsey.

That was really good! I really enjoyed that.

And the stream froze again when she and her coach were waiting for the scores.

No, it's come back. She goes into 5th position.

Resurfacing time. So. time for breakfast.

If I'm not back in time for the start of the younger Advanced Novice girls, I'll play catch-up.

CaroLiza_fan

I'm waaaaayyyy behind now, because I wasn't expecting there to be no resurfacing at all during this competition. And I had to get ready for the day.

Anyway, I am not long after watching the second of the two Spanish girls in this competition. And, even though there was just one girl skating in between them, it was nice to see both of them in the results area when they were each getting their scores.

I know Gómez is a very common surname, but I wonder if they are cousins. Nora's Mum and Sofía's Dad both have that surname, and they belong to the same club in Madrid.

I just looked them up, and discovered that both of them also do Pairs skating.

Going by what she was up to while waiting for the scores each time, Nora is a real character.

Sofía was skating to an a cappella version of the "Gladiator" music. And doing it like this meant it lost all the feeling and excitement.

Sofía went into the lead, 0.49 points ahead of Nora in 2nd position.

The ISU part of the event is starting now, with a Junior SP double-bill. 32 girls, followed by a group of 5 boys.

I'm going to be going out for a while at some stage this morning. I don't know when exactly, and I don't know how long it will take. So I am just going to carry on playing catch-up on the Advanced Novices until then, and then decide what to do when I come back.

I'm back home, and it looks like the stream ended while I was away. And because the streams are unlisted on YouTube, and the Sportity page hasn't been updated with a new link, I don't know if there is a new stream, or how to get to it if there is.

Oh, well. I guess I'll just continue catching up on what I missed, and hope that a link appears by the time I am finished watching the original stream.

CaroLiza_fan

I can't find any stream at all at the moment. The link provided above says that it's blocked due to some content.

Gaaaah!!!! The video for the original stream went unavailable there now when I was watching the Group 1 Warm-Up of the Junior Ladies.

I knew that there wasn't much of the Juniors there, but I wanted to go back to watch Group 1 of the Novice B girls that I missed this morning.

CaroLiza_fan

Now that the Junior girls are finished, we come back from the resurfacing to a double bill of chaos!

5 Junior cacti are coming to the ice now; followed by a resurfacing; followed by 9 Senior cacti.

And I now see that there is a "Recordings" tab on the page. So, the streams may be getting archived.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:
