I was intending winding back and watching Alina MAKHMUTOVA during that resurfacing, but the stream only goes back as far as the last skater in her group.

Oh, well. I'll just have to wait until the stream gets archived.

Pre-Chicks C Ladies FS starting now.

Because we are running so far behind schedule, I'll probably not get to see them all before leaving for my Sunday Dinner, like I was expecting. (I was envisaging only missing the Beginners 2013-2014 girls).

Oh, my post before I left didn't post. Here is what I wrote:

But, I'm back now, re-joining at the end of the Group 2 Warm-Up of Beginners 2013-2014 (I've missed the first 6 girls, but there are 5 girls and 1 boy left).

For a second there, I was wondering if I had missed spotting a girl from Cyprus on the entry list for this competition. Because we just had a programme that was VERY Greek.

But, it was the penultimate girl, who is Latvian.

She goes into 3rd position.

The final girl was skating to "The Winner Takes It All" by ABBA. Which I always think is tempting fate.

She went into 9th position.

But, I wanted to comment about her having two team-mates sitting with her. And she and one of the team-mates were being VERY animated. The other girl, meanwhile, looked half asleep.

The boy was wearing a black shirt, cream waistcoat, and black trousers. He was skating to "Titanium" by Sia.

He wins.

Resurfacing now, and then the Beginners 2011-2012 girls.

Gabriele KALIBATAITE (LTU) is wearing a black dress with silver pattern. To be honest, there is a bit too much pattern.

She was skating to "Dernière Danse" by Indila.

I enjoyed that.

She has three team-mates sitting with her. And they are making arm hearts with each other.

She goes into the lead. Obviously.

Emili PETROVA (LAT) is wearing a plain black dress. And this one could be doing with a bit of a pattern on it! If the previous girl give this girl some of the pattern off her dress, both dresses would be beautiful!

Skating to "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey.

Can't remember seeing a programme to this song before. But I enjoyed it.

She goes into the lead.

And to complete our tour of the Baltic States at the start of the competition, we have Jelizaveta LOBACHOVA (EST), who is wearing a red dress, with white trim.

Skating to "A Night Like This" by Caro Emerald. Followed by "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody" by Fergie.

Such a contrast in songs. The first song was my taste. The second wasn't.

But she skated the programme well.

She goes into the lead.

Two Latvians to complete the group. Ruslana IVANOVA (LAT) is wearing a dress that I suppose is supposed to look like a blue jacket and white skirt.

She is skating to instrumental music. I would love to know what it is, because it is beautiful.

When it is done clean, this programme will be beautiful. But, unfortunately, she popped a few jumps. And she had a fall.

Lots of company siting with her. 3 team-mates, and 2 grown-ups.

She goes into fourth position.

Ach, I didn't manage to get through the day without hearing that trailerised female cover of "Paint It, Black".

I like the black dress that Elizabeta RIMICANE (LAT) is wearing, though.

The skating was great!

She just has her coach sitting with her.

Neither of them look too happy.

She goes into 4th position.

They leave immediately.

We start with the last skater who is not from Latvia. And as soon as I saw Kira CAIKO (LTU), I knew what song she would be skating to.

Unfortunately, it was the trailerised version of "Toxic", rather than Britney Spears' original.

Suffice to say, she is wearing a black air hostess uniform.

Actually, I think I might have seen her in the past few weeks, because I remember thinking that it was more like a pilot's uniform than an air hostess' uniform.

Anyway, I really enjoyed that.

Her coach looks a lot happier than Kira does.

She goes into 2nd position.

When Viktorija BONDARE (LAT) came out wearing a purple and black dress, I was expecting a spooky programme.

I was not expecting a country rock song. (Sorry, couldn't make out enough words to look up lyrics).

I loved that!

Awwww, she's got a younger team-mate as well as her coach. And they do an arm heart around her.

She goes into 3rd position.

She's annoyed.

Varvara VARUSHECHKINA (LAT) from the host club is wearing a plain black dress, and doing an Olè programme.

I would have preferred it without the vocals.

She had a freak fall, but got up quickly.

She goes into 7th position.

Beate BERZINA (LAT) is wearing a black dress with white pattern.

She was skating to "Dance With Somebody" by Mando Diao.

This is another programme that, when it is done clean, it is going to be brilliant. But, there were a few mistakes. Including a fall.

She has a team-mate and a young coach with her.

Ah, the team-mate just did some actions that made me realise who she is. It's the girl that was last to skate in Beginners 2013-2014.

She goes into 4th position.

Nellija KASPEROVICHA (LAT) is wearing a black dress, which has brown things on it that make it look like a ceremonial military uniform.

She is skating to instrumental music that is obviously from a film.

I loved it!

And she didn't make it to the results area in time for her scores to be announced.

She goes into 3rd position.

The final girl, Agate GRINHOFA (LAT), is positively tiny! Except that this competition is specifically for 14 year olds, I would have sworn that her age was in single figures!

She was wearing a black and gold dress, and was skating to some very lively music.

And she was absolutely brilliant!!!

Ah, the previous skater is her team-mate. That's why Nellija didn't make it to the results area. She was seeing Agate off.

Awww they are sitting together doing arm hearts.

Agate wins. And I am not one bit surprised.

But, the funniest part is that just before the camera left them, she yawned!

Straight onto a Beginners 2015 double-bill. 22 girls; followed by 1 boy. Resurfacing after the first group.

The second of the Cypriot skaters in action today is in this competition. But she isn't on until the final group.

The wrong music was played for the second skater in Group 2, Skater #9. Ironically, one of only two skaters in this competition from the host club.

She just stood in position for a long time while the music was playing, and then eventually went over to the panel. And after a pause while it was sorted out, she got starting.

Platonova and that golden dog (or whatever it is) mascot sitting with her.

She goes into 9th position, just 0.64 points behind her team-mate.

Which means the host club skaters are currently occupying the bottom two positions.

We didn't get to see the presentation of the Group 3 skaters at the start of the Warm-Up, because it was done while the final skater in Group 2 was waiting for her scores.

Unfortunately, there were two girls wearing white jackets over dark dresses. One of them was a Cyprus jacket, and the other was an OZO club jacket. So, each time you saw one of them, unless you could make out the writing, it was tricky working out if it was Maryia or Elizabete.

But, I think we saw Maryia doing a lovely sit spin.
