Event details

I'm looking forward to seeing Veillon and Brandys in their senior debut at this event!
I didn't see them on the preliminary entry list yet. Have they said they would do their senior debut there ? They represent Ontario and I thought they may compete there first though many people from other provinces, even countries, come to CQÉ. If they do skate in Pierrefonds, I will for sure try to go there.

Cool, Uliana will be at this competition again this year ! I really appreciated her presence at this competition last year. I felt it gave our Quebec skaters, like Sara-Maude Dupuis and Fee Ann Landry, a bit of a challenge and competition to have Uliana among them.

Very interesting to see Kelly Ann in senior women - I wasn't aware she had more triples than the 3T and 3S. She's done the 3Lo and 3Lz throws though, so maybe she's had those hidden in her singles skating arsenal or managed to land them since splitting with Loucas? I'd kind of love for her to have a breakout season in singles tbh. Pleasantly surprised to see Aleksa Volkova back - for whatever reason I thought she'd retired.

A little surprised not to see Reese Rose since some other Gloucester skaters will be competing and this is in the neighbourhood for her (assuming she's not a likely choice for any of our few JGP spots). Also both surprised and not that Bakerie and (rumoured) Lim/Lagha aren't there - I thought one of them might want an early outing of the RD for feedback (esp. Bakerie). But we shall see who gets added later.

Read the announcement : the deadline for registration and payment was yesterday. However, they accept registration for another week with a fee penalty. So the final entry lists will be next week.

30 senior women and one man... yikes
and the man is NOT representing Québec :)
Ide dance line up is quite exciting.
as always...

Québec is well-know for producing hockey players, then short track speed skaters, then long track speed skaters and then, finally, male partners in pairs and dance.
Only ONE man has ever won the senior Canadian championship from Québec.
However, there are a few men who have represented Québec and won even world and olympic medals in pairs and dance :)
