2026 John Nicks Pairs Challenge International

The 2026 John Nicks Pairs Challenge International will take place September 11-12, 2026, in Norwood, Mass. The competition is the third of 13 events in the 2026–27 ISU Challenger Series. It will feature the pairs discipline only.

The ISU Challenger Series is an annual series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union (ISU). It provides athletes with additional opportunities to compete at the international level. Skaters can earn World Standing points and improve their international rankings.

All Challenger Series events are conducted under the ISU Judging System (IJS). Competitions follow the current season's ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules.

They changed locations this year. Since they're probably at the same rink as Cranberry Cup, maybe we will finally get a stream for this one!

I’m thinking we might get a first look at some Russian pairs who would hope for a win that would land them on the GP Substitutes List. Early in the season, and so tempting!

Yeah, it would make all the sense in the world for them to send the maximum teams allowed. (Even for those teams that don't win, it's still a way to starting establishing a solid SBS and gain ranking points.)

I also wouldn't be surprised if they send some of their juniors teams while they're at it.
