A summer visit to a Russian figure skating queen may help turn North Vancouver's Kevin Reynolds into one of the sport's kings this season.

Reynolds, the 18-year-old jumping jack who can out-leap the world, spent the first week of June in Moscow improving his choreography and program components with none other than Tatiana Tarasova, a legend who has coached nine different Olympic gold medallists.

"I'm looking for better component scores and hopefully it will actually show in the marks this time," said Reynolds, who opens his Grand Prix season at Skate America in Everett, Wash., this weekend. ...

He needs more than one week with Tarasova, Kevin's basic skating skills are horrible.

Sounds like a lot of packaging work. Will look forward to seeing this skater evolve.
