The 56th Volvo Open Cup is set to take place Nov 5-9, 2025, in Riga, Latvia, at the Volvo Sports Center.

The event will feature the Singles (Junior and Senior categories) discipline and will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations, and relevant ISU Communications.

Given the problems that we have been experiencing with the streaming in Graz, I think I will stay there in case it gets zapped.

OK, the IceChallenge stream got suspended just after the action started here. So, to pass the time until it (hopefully) comes back, I have started playing catch-up here.

But, the IceChallenge has come back, so I only got to see the Warm-Up and Iida.

I have a feeling I will be back...

Sooner than I expected.

Just watched #2 Ksenija HEIMANE (LAT). What a beautiful dress, which is mainly dark blue, but has a light blue pattern. She is also wearing dark blue gloves.

I'm not that familiar with her, but I enjoyed that.

She went into 2nd position.

Day 2 finally beings now with an Advanced Novice quadruple-bill! Three girls competitions, followed by a group of 3 boys

Aha! They are trying to claw back some of the time by sending the next Warm-Up group out while the previous skater is waiting for her scores.

First time we saw Oliviia, she had to duck to avoid getting hit by the leg of a skater who was doing a spin. :eek:

We didn't actually see her doing any elements in the short time that we saw the Warm-Up.

From her costume, she's doing the "Homay" by Ay Yola programme. Not the "Baianá" by Barbatuques programme.

Now they have the Start Order graphic covering most of the screen.

Oops. They forgot to take it down when the first skater started her programme.

The fifth girl to skate, from Latvia, is fighting a losing battle trying to stop herself from crying.

She had lost the battle by the time the scores were announced. :cry:

I don't like seeing them cry!

And she doesn't have anybody sitting with her to comfort her, because her team-mate is up next.

She goes into 5th position.
