I only had time to watch part of this, but it was really fun. The audience is so bundled up, and it looks REALLY cold! LOL. Is there any special significance to the Samovar? Thx for posting!

It is currently around 0 °C in this region, which is very warm for the Russian winter. I know some shows even had problems because of the melting ice.

The samovar is that huge metal thing on the ice. To put it simply, this is an ancient Russian water boiler typically used to make tea.

I wondered if possibly it had a special connection to the holidays. I have been to Russia and have seen some very beautiful samovars. The one they were using was a beauty!
