I seem to recall that little Yuka Hioki didn't have as much as a single tripe a year ago? (Or am I misremembering?) And now here she is landing a 3F-3T in competition (underrotated, but regardless).

Hanaha Takeshima has also improved a lot.

Hazuki Yamada is an angel.

The reason I think it would've been fair to add a JrNats spot for Taiga Hara is bc had he skated later his PCS would've likely been a bit higher making his and Skylar's scores virtually tied

Please don't blame yourself, it's only natural for a fan to want to see their fave skate even when they aren't doing well. For the record, I simply didn't sense that the energy needed to support him was there before Kao skated. I'm pretty sure this wasn't bad energy caused by you, it was just-- a distinct absence of energy. Hopefully the energy will be there in Canada if he goes.

I'm still recovering from covid, after all...I don't think that matters

Best wishes on covid. I have had it twice...lost some taste and smell but at my advanced age and pre existing conditions, it was no issue to obtain Paxlovid, which I have taken twice and really worked well. I now have a filled script at home.

The really amazing thing (again) is the quality level that the Novices are skating at is way above what I am used to. There are seniors around the world that dont have this grasp of musicality and artistry as well as the tricks......
