2025 JGP Solidarity Cup: General Info and Pregame Chat

I appreciate all the info, and I'll PM you with a couple of additional questions. I decided to spend the first couple of nights of the competition at the hotel at the arena, since the events go very late (and the days are long - the most skaters of any JGP).
For the arena hotel - they have nice breakfasts too. And the breakfast hall looks out into the main rink, so you can watch the early morning main rink practices while eating. :)

Even though I do always look at transit links before I book accommodation, I've had the experience in two places so far with JGPs where in one case all transit stopped before an event ended, and in the other just the direct bus to my accommodation on one night. Very annoying since the last group of free programs is the most important.
Was this Riga last year? I remember I had to leave the men's session early because of this after all the delays due to the scoring system issues.

Nope, not Riga. Ljubljana last year. Varese this year was the one that had no transit available at all when the events were finished - luckily not too far from town. I really don't see why some of the events are scheduled so late into the evening. Varese didn't have nearly as large fields, and didn't have pairs, but didn't start until almost mid-afternoon.

Good to hear about the hotel breakfast with practice viewing! I'm looking forward to it - on my first of 3 flights now. I may be in time to catch a bit of tomorrow afternoon's practices.
