2025 Kinoshita Group Cup: General Info and Pregame Chat

I’m also hoping for youtube, technically two of the listed partners cover my area, but neither has this listed in transmission plans.
The legal problem in some events is while an entitiy might OWN the broadcast rights, they chose not to broadcast, but we all end up needing a VPN. :(

I think the haze is clearing on what is really going on here....instead of providing an easy to use paid live/on demand service, you have to be under 21 years old or a computer genius to figure out how to watch. Shame on the ISU. The people on this forum can help if they find some fan streams and post them before they are taken down.
HOW TO WATCH:

Fan streams:
The following fan streams may show the competition. Links will be updated if more options become available. Videos from the competition will likely be uploaded to Youtube and social media by fans.

SkyPerfecTV: Paid live streaming of the entire competition. The service is geoblocked outside of Japan.

CS Asahi: CS TV Asahi channel 2 will air the entire competition live. This channel can be accessed outside of Japan by purchasing a subscription to an IPTV service (many provide trial periods for a lower price).

  • Nozomi (“Standard” tier offers CS Asahi ch2. 3-day trial period)
  • Kaeri TV (“Plus” tier offers CS Asahi ch2. 3-day trial period)
  • Himawari (“Plus” tier offers CS Asahi ch2. 3-day and 7-day trial periods) - Not compatible with PC or Mac

Misinformation everywhere these days 😭
Just a guess. ISU was going to broadcast it but money and lawyers got in the way....as the movie says, "Follow the money" . Who is gonna benefit from the ISU NOT broadcasting it?

I am no Genius but Himawari Plus Channel 62, MIGHT be the correct channel . CH2 TV Asashi CH2. Live and on demand for two weeks or ?
If you are better at computers than I am , you can try this.

When somone has a stream going later, can you let me know what you used, if you paid or got the trial working, and what VPN location was used? I feel more comfortable copying someone else than trying to figure this out for myself and paying for something that doesn't end up showing it.

I think it was more someone on the Olympics site copied and pasted information from a Grand Prix release without realizing it until it started spreading.

Our wonderful Japanese forum members are very helpful in finding ways so I can watch their competitions. I made copious notes over the years but the meathods keep changing. Part of this is internel agreements between services in Japan. And that is sad. One very wonderful forum member we shall call "T-B" but also others have recorded skates from comps and posted them. May the Gods smile on them.🙏

OK, I am watching Japanese TV for $3.50
I opted for Nozomi standard, 3 day trial, unlimited playback.
My google translate tells me the correct channel is #51
A few hints.
Click on the link I provided. Select the $3.50 3 day trial for STANDARD ONLY.
You put in a name, an email , and a credit card. Hit purchase.
Ignore download. Its an ad.
Check email. you will get a code number.
Now, the hard part.
Go back to the Nozomi web page and scroll down to the bottom where it says how to load it onto your PC.
Link didnt work for me so I right clicked on it and coppied the Url.
I pasted the URL into my browser. The browser said it was unsafe, which they warn you about. I went to it anyway. You then make up a password and hit enter.
Voila!
You see the screen with all the channels.
I went to #51, Ch 2 TV asashi c2
NOW, click the grayed part of the screen that is showing video. The whole right half, if you want to watch live. Playback is a bit tougher but not bad.
I hope Kaori and Hae-in appreciate this!!!!

A few more hints. Moving the mouse will bring up what show is coming up next at the top of the screen. Use your google translate app on your phone to read them. Moving the mouse will also bring up the semi familiar youtube moving bar with the typical "get back to where you were" buttons for changing times and channels.
