2025 Kinoshita Group Cup Pairs Free Skate

Watching the pairs free skate, thanks a lot indeed tsuyoboogie! :) , omg, suddenly I realized Mr Savin besides YunaSumi in KnC.
When did they switch? Whrre are they trainig?? And was the German pair okay with this, me wonder...
Anyway, I am surprised, no, shocked actually, they have improved HUUUUGE since last season. :jaw:

Huh, now that you’ve made me think about it, I don’t look for romantic attachment at all in pairs. Like I see RikiRyu and I see partners, in the sense of an athletic team working together. Maybe it’s the opening triple twist that does it first me: hey babe, I love you, I’m gonna toss you ten feet up into the air now, just doesn’t work romantically for me.
Sure. Different people like different things, so no real controversy. But I think my original point still stands. Sibling pairs face limitations on the types of programs they can do. Riki/Ryu may not skate particularly romantic programs, but they could if they wanted to, and a sibling pair cannot. Is that a career-ending limitation? No, many pairs work just fine outside the construct of a romantic pair, as they always have.

It’s sad that Gamez Korovin have regressed. 143 at Asian and now 141 here. I wonder if they’ll continue to skate after the Oly qualifier.
Well just to correct myself on this, G/K have said they have a few Challengers planned this season, so they do plan on skating after the qualifier. But this 143 and 141 puzzles me when they were scoring 150-157 last season.

They just switched this summer. I've seen them in training videos along with Tsiba/Danilova, Gamez/Korovin, Apok/Rahm and others. Not 100% sure if they train in Sochi though.

Thank you so much for the video, aroundtheworld-san! :thank:

It's so nice that Yuma/Sumi seem to having good training, looking fit more mature, esp Yuna!, and happy, and getting along very well with other skaters in Team Savin, assuming he is one the very best pair coach. As an old figure skating fan myself, I'm grateful to Mr Savin for accepting the Japanese Yuna/Sumi, despite the fact that Hase/Volodin, who surely aims for the Oly gold as well as Riku/Ryu, must be/should be his first priority this season. :)

Also I am surprised, in a good way, to find out a mischievous side of coach Savin :cheeky:, because somehow watching him on TV, he, as the world top coach understandably, he seemd rather tough, a little demanding with his skaters I thought. :)
