2025 World Figure Skating Championships Top 3 Performances

I can't narrow it down to three, so here go a few, which I'll watch again (if possible):

1. Ilia's gala program: unexpected, mature, and brought me to tears.
2. The Free Skate 'competition within a competition' between Shaidorov and Malinin: very exciting!
3. Alisa and Misha's Long Program (not perfect, but brought me to tears; and the audience response - wow!)
4. Kevin Aymoz's SP, Hase and Volodin's gala program

The audiences at the TD Garden: I love how they 'encouraged' skaters who made errors, how knowledgeable they were about figure skating (clapping along in appropriate places but stopping when they knew the music changed), the ovations they gave to great programs from skaters no matter what country they were from; the fact that they packed the Garden each afternoon and night. (And not one broadcast TV station even mentioned that this was going on - appalling.)

I had so many performances I liked, there is no way I can narrow them down to 3!

In no particular order (regardless if there were mistakes or not during the skate):
Junhwan Cha FS
Jason Brown FS
Kevin SP
Olivia & Tim, Piper & Paul, Juulia & Matthias, Yuka & Juho, Madison & Evan FD
Deniss Vasiljevs FS
Kaori FS
Nina Pinzaronne FS
Riku/Ryuichi SP
Alysa for the pure joy of skating she had in both short and long
Ilia and Mikhail for their amazing technical prowess
and many, many more...

HM: Boston crowd for cheering on struggling skaters and giving standing ovations to any enjoyable performance, regardless of the skater's ranking ( Thomas Guarino Sabate, Katya Kurakova, etc). I wish I've been there, but I attended Worlds in Montreal last year - also amazing - and had no savings left for this year! 😁)

My favs have already been mentioned;
Deniis Jun and Jason just for skating skills and artistry alone;
Holly & Jason of Australia FD took my breath away
Yuma looking dejected after his FS in the K & C THEN the wide-eyed look of questioning surprise and wonder as his final score came up and he held up two fingers.. I grinned ear-to-ear😁
Just a shout out to Andrew Torgashev .. his SP sublime; gutted for him in the free.. not a skate he deserved but no skater is more resilient. Come back strong!

EDT to add Kevin🩷 and Ellie & Danny ( skating with a broken foot!)❤️‍🩹

The Boston Audience!!!🫶🏼🤩😍

So many!

Deniss V. - "La Bayadere"
Madelaine Schizas - "Lion King" short program
Jason's free skate & "Reel Around the sun" (from "Riverdance") during the gala
Andrew Torgashev's "L'Enfer"
Piper & Paul's Beach Boys rhythm dance
Isabeau Levito's "Moon River"

Kaori's good sportsmanship

1. Alysa Liu FS - I really thought Kaori had the title in her bag until Alysa started skating. What a moment, what a crowd, what a champion.

2. Mikhail Shaidorov FS - Such an incredibly talented jumper, and I don't mean this as shade. I loved all his jumping passes, and loved how the crowd reacted to the Take on Me after Moonlight Sonata.

3. Chock/Bates FD - Their best FD and its best performance for the last 3 years. Just so effortless and polished.

Honorable Mention - Hase/Volodin FS - what a breakthrough, gotta dock them down because of their speed and only that really.

Three is too restrictive:

Andrew Torgashev SP

Women
Alysa Liu SP & FS
Kaori Sakamoto FS

Dance
