Lea is a German figure skater, born April 30, 2000. She did not compete in Season 2019-2020 nor in 2018-19 due to injury.

Biography & skating style:

I saw that Lea had no thread yet so I made one. Lea is very well known for her big smile, that get´s bigger and bigger with every element that she puts on the ice. She is the national junior champion of 2015 and does still go to school at Dresden, the same school that Jens Kruppa went (former European swimming champion & Olympic medalist) and is competing for the local skating club at Dresden. (Dresden SC)
The 15 years old, is coached by former Olympic Champion Anett Poetzsch and is able to land all jumps as triples (except the Axel).

Good Luck Lea.

Lea at Junior Worlds II

How did Lea say, "qualified" and so it is. She was able to get into the free skate with all her planned elements, performed at a pretty good level, though missing out on the steps as it only got a two, (I saw a three there already this season) and ya, the judges, didn't like her edge on the Lutz :(

Nonetheless, did Lea really well in her performance to Pina and as always she was quite chatty afterwards, "I just added three more revolutions to all my spins" and of course, the smiles were there again and she is just 15, so there is still a lot of time and potential to discover by Annett and her apprentice.

Planned Program components, JWs FS

If all goes well, this is Lea´s layout for today. You can expect a very quiet Lea, very thoughtful skate she has to offer and watch the smile, as it will get bigger and bigger with every element.

Lea Junior Worlds III

Young Lea was extremely "quiet" and incredible close to an almost perfect program of her. The 15 years old did everything she had announced for the competiton, but sadly got an edge call for both of her her Lutz elements and a slight underrotation on her triple Toe. As the smiles go, - yes, they got bigger and bigger again.

Lea did skate the 10th FS with 95.96 points, coming 12th in combined total, a very good result in my opinion.

Congratulations!

Anett Pötzsch, moved to Mannheim, therefore also Lea decided to go there. She will go to a sports school there, in which she will do her A-level in about three years. Mannheim has good dance schools, so I hope she will also attend a few classes there ;)

Lea will keep competing for the DEC.

Is she still active? I think she didn't participate in any competition this season, which makes me think she has retired.

She's had an ongoing foot injury that kept her from being able to train. She and her coaches decided it was best for her long-term goals for her to take the season off and heal.
