Photos of Sarah from the Finlandia Trophy. She has had a very good senior GP debut.

Her Firebird dress, by Lisa McKinnon:

I am rooting for Sarah to repeat medal at Nationals. I find her huge progress over the last few years to be inspiring. I like her current programs. Both costumes too (pictures ^^), with preference for the Irish SP dress which just looks outstanding on her.

Great interview with Russian sports journalist Maya B. Sarah talks about her goals, her family, Russian culture, and training with the Malinins. She has wonderful words about Amber Glenn. Her coaches and mother are also part of the interview. You can read it in English by tapping your Google translate button.

Sarah on landing the triple axel:
– Since you mentioned Amber Glenn, does her triple axel motivate you to try ultra-c elements too?

- Of course, it's impossible not to think about it now. I would like to jump both a quadruple jump and a triple axel - that one, probably, first of all. It seems to me that it is technically more realistic for me, and it also gives me an advantage in the short program. It is clear that all this requires work, but I am ready for it.

Roman Skornyakov on Sarah:

"Sarah knows how to get ready and get ready for a performance herself. In America, it's not any different: you have to be able to do everything yourself, no one walks with you by the hand there - independence develops from an early age.

It is clear that she can shirk somewhere, we have to teach her to work. But she listens to us, does not protest (although no one really argues with us, ha-ha), respects our opinion and experience - probably recognizes authority.

The main thing is that we have fun with her, now she is starting to show the results for which we train together. We need to work harder, there are no other options. Sarah is an athlete with ambitions, and without that, how can you get to the top?"

Sarah’s short program was just wonderful! I adore her step sequence. I was happy she got a score above 70 and I hope she gets assigned to 4 continents.
