I've owned a Volvo 940 SE for quite a long time. Three weeks ago, while I was asleep in my bed (and my car, parked outside on the street) a gentleman hit my car at a high speed. Car can still drive, but the damage would cost more than what the current car value is:

I found a 1996 Volvo 850 for 2k (with 100k miles!). The guy who owned it is moving with his wife to Okinawa (service members), and it would cost more to convert everything to Japanese specifications. I am thinking about buying it, but I could change my mind...
Has anyone here driven or owned an 850?
