Re-read what i wrote - i said worlds 1996 was the only competition that season that she didn't hit the 3t/3t. Meaning that every other competition she did in teh 1995/96 season she did land the 3t/3t.

D'oh! I give up! My fandom is clearly clouding what i thought was a pretty good memory. I might have to punish myself by giving myself the equivalent of lines and forcing myself to watch and re-watch all the old kwan programs i have on tape for that season....
....i know, i know it doesn't seem like much of a punishment to me either!

that has happened on numerous occasions and the public interest did not drop at that time. They really haven't shown figures on TV that much because who would get it other than former skaters? Barbara Ann Scott was an expert on figures.

yeah, maybe that is why they are doing away with the quilifying round at worlds. It was never televised and the skaters never seemed to skate well there. It only came back and hurt them later, and we were all left wondering why certain skaters got all these points and other who had good LP's didn't place as high.
