Hey, does anyone know if Xue Shen/Hongbo Zhao or even Tatiana Totmianina/Maxim Marinin will come back?

I doubt Totmianina and Marinin intend to return - they're doing shows, Maxim has a child now, and besides they've achieved pretty much all there is to achieve in figure skating.
As for Xue Shen/Hongbo Zhao, I'm fairly certain that there have been reports indicating they're thinking of Vancouver 2010. She'll be 31 by then and he'll be 36, so they may not be as strong physically as some of the younger pairs. Of course, we have seen pairs skaters in their thirties getting good results in recent years (e.g. Tikhonov, the Suideks). Assuming Shen/Zhao can do it, I'd love to see them finally win the Olympic gold they deserve.

Totmianina/Marinin made it very clear before the 2006 Olympics that they will not skate competitively anymore..
As for S/Z, their coach seems very sure that they will be returning..

Yeah, I know there is little chance that Tania and Maxim will return.. It's too bad. I really love this fantastic pair.
And Shen/Zhao.. I think they really want the Olympic Gold but I think it would be very difficult for them to top Savchenko/Szolkowy in 2010 or also their compatriots Zhang/Zhang. These two teams have more difficulty in their programs than Shen/Zhao. So, they have to work hard if they want an Olympic medal!
