Yet another competition in the northeast! Geez! Is Skate America ever anywhere else (regionally)?

Last year was Pittsburgh and the year before Scranton, Pa. Now Atlantic City and Hartford, Ct. Sounds like I have to think about going next year too.

But wasn't the SA before Pa. in Washington or Oregon?

Yeah, It was in Spokane, Washington in 2002

But they also moved the winter Marshall's from Detroit to Boston. These must be marketing decisions. Is skating really more popular in the Northeast than anywhere else?

maybe the NE is campaigning harder for these events. And I am willing to bet that NE skating clubs have more power in the federation. Just how long ago did FS clubs come to places like Arizona? Although that could be a great marketing idea. Come here for a warm weekend and spend part of the time in an ice rink watching fs.
