Inoue and Baldwin skipping GP

I must say this doesn't do much for the GP if folks continue to skip it "just because". But it's their perogative(sp).

They sort of did give a reason. Too full a schedule last year, etc. They didn't come right out and say it, but they've got to be thinking, "We're too old for all this!"

^ then just retire.

Then again, I suppose we're not talking about "pro athletes" here, so the argument that "you can't just play the games you WANT to play" won't quite work, I suppose.

Wow. The pairs teams in the US are dropping like flies in the Grand Prix. I guess this gives some other teams a great opportunity to show thier stuff.

It seems that Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker will be replacing them at the Grand Prix and MeeRan Trombley and Laureano Ibarra will be replacing Nam and Lefteris at Skate America. I sure wish that Evora and Ladwig were able to get another assignment.

they are "pulling a Michelle Kwan" as i call it and not doing any events until Nationals. No injuries reported, they just want time to work on stuff. I hope they get the triple axel back in that time. I think this hsows how much they want to win nationals. Losing last year seemed like a blow to them.

I merged these threads just in case the continuity thing throws everyone off. Keep talking away and don't mind the mod, LOL ;)

Rena and John out, and Naomi and Theo out. If McLaughlin/Brubaker get sbs triples they will be very competitive in Nats
