Men's SP

How many men get to skate the long?

25, counting Pavel Petrov Savinov, who gets to join the top 24 as the home skater. Though I'm starting to wonder if there should be a limit to top home skaters(or *only* home skaters, as the case may be) automatically making the free.

Not a good day for Canada. Canada is really in trouble of going down from 16 JGP slots next year to only 8. You need to be among the top 5 countries to secure 16 JGP slots and right now 6 countries are ahead of Canada.

I suspect Kevin will move up a little in the free but with him skating in the 2nd group in the free, his PCS will be even lower than normal.

I would say Ten performed as expected but Kevin and Elladj were a little below what was expected of them.

I am not surprised with Kevin's struggles with the double axel. The axel is his weakest jump mainly due to the fact that he usually stalks this jump. In fact axel technique is not a strong point among Joanne McLeod's students.

The Canadian men were a disappointment but who knows.............they could really pull themselves in the LP as the point separation of the mid group is close

I am so happy for Adam! He skated so well--although I still think his Nats program was even better. How can he beat Mroz with his 3A3T when Rippon only has the 3F3T (I missed Mroz's program--will see it later)? PCS all the way! It's amazing with all these guys with big jumps and he doesn't even have a 3Lz3T in the SP. Yet look at the scores!
