Hmm. They skate it well but I don't like the choreography or the arrangment of the music segments. I don't know but it doesn't sit well with me, at least. Still, they did a good job skating. I just wish they'd gotten more of a chance to set up the opening and make some connection to each other instead of going right into a spin.

Chock/Zuerlein have great body lines. Chock has an elegant body type reminiscent of Tatiana Navka.

chuckm, Yes they do have great lines. I particularly like that kick they do with the legs going to the exact same height. They use it in both the OD and FD. Perfect, both times. And there were some interesting lifts there.

They seemed rather slow to me, though--and it's easier to maintain body line when you're slow. lmarie, I can't say I liked the choreo much either. And I enjoyed the Shibutanis Courchevel performance more, because of the better choreo and the better performance skills, despite the fact that the large size difference makes conventional holds loose and body line match up difficult.

I hope someone posts a youtube of the Hubbells from Mexico soon.

I agree chuckm, they do have great lines. But like dorispulaski, they did not move with the best speed. There were definitely moments, but overall it was rather slow.
As for the music, it might also be the selections. Although they are the more well known pieces, I had expected "Music of the Night," "Phantom of the Opera," a different moment of "Point of No Return." I just didn't think the music selections were the wisest, so that might also be why it didn't work for me. But also, obviously she's Christine and he's the Phantom; I didn't truly see them portraying those roles, or connecting with each other much. I'm hoping that'll improve as the season continues.
