Places you've visited so far

My biggest "must see" item in Italy is probably Ravenna, though I also want to spend a week or so just exploring Tuscany. Oh, mine! So many places, so little time!

Great choice!
Ravenna is beautiful, it has a great architecture!
Ptichka, at this point you know Italy better than me. You have seen a lot!
I'm happy that you enjoyed the hospitality! :agree:
What is the Americano market?

Anyway, is anybody going to Turin at the GP Final this year and/or at the Euros in Zagreb? I'll choose between the two.

I was thinking at first this was just countries - that is a short list for me, Canada Mexico and Japan (came so close to Fiji I lost 750+ usd in the down-payment of trip lost, but a 2500 custom wedding dress and 8243 usd on a wedding ring set - I would have spent the same to get away from her though, so no hugh loss.)

But it appears it is kind specific. States wise,
nothing east of the Mississippi except for Missouri, but all the rest - Oklahoma and Texas hardly count for it was short and through their panhandles. No Alaska or Hawaii either (but I am coming to see you soon Toni ;) ). Canada, just Black Comb. - Mexico, dad liked to travel around down there so a good amount - Japan, just Tokyo and it was a hotel and STK lab setting up equipment (oh I guess the airport and some great take out might count for a little) and did go for a couple of walks bathed in a sento and stayed at a Ryokan. I figured I would be back by now. Of course I thought my company would still be around as well. *shrugs*

Here is to more future travels.

It's this gigantic flea market in Rome. Most of the stuff sold there is real crap. We actually sold some quality things - too bad, since most of the Americano shoppers could not tell the difference; people who made the biggest profit were those who brought things like small toys to sell. We - we actually spend much time and money back in Russia acquiring real quality items for sale. Actually, a few years ago, when I was in Rome, I noticed some quality Gzhel in the display. Got to talking to the owner - he indeed bought it at the Americano in the late 80's, having recognized the pieces' high quality.

I've visited in North America:
~All the US states except the Deep South, which, (sorry to those of you who live there and love it), I just don't have any desire to visit.
~All of the Canadian provinces except Northwest Territory area, which I'd like to.
~Mexico
~Costa Rica

Additionally on other continents I've visited:
~China, Thailand, South Korea, Nepal, India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, France, Wales

My very favorite place that I've visited is, in general, the south of England...if you see me with that big ol' lottery check you'll know that's where I'm heading, to a peaceful little village in Cornwall, Somerset, Devon or Dorset. :p I like my little green island in Washington State too though, maybe a seond home.

Let's see. In the US, I've done the whole I-5 corridor from the Canadian border to the Mexican one, including stops in various spots in Washington and California, and ALL OVER the western half of Oregon. Then have done the I-8 and I-10 corridors through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas (Texas Texas Texas and MORE Texas ) Louisiana, the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Alabama, to Pensacola, Florida (where I went to find the house where I was conceived, which is now a vintage clothing store ). Have also been to Boise, Idaho, which misleadingly bills itself as the "City of Trees", and have been IN Honolulu, but only in the airport -- and both times at night, too. Really annoying, couldn't even SEE any of it....

Outside the US, have been to Tijuana, Mexico and have made several trips to my favorite city, Vancouver, BC. Also took a trip a few years ago to Australia, where I visited Sydney, Brisbane, and took a day trip to Surfers Paradise.
