I don't see Mira Leung on the podium, or even close to it. The competition here is tougher than it was at Skate America, and the skaters have had more time to prepare.

GP scores from earlier events for the TEB competitors:

Then there's Meier, who last season scored 169.01 at SA, 159.17 at CoR, 170.28 at the GPF, 171.28 at Euros and 160.80 at Worlds. Meier's worst score beats Leung's by 20 points!

Well, you never know. this is a new season with a completely changed Mira. I'm rooting for her.

Mira may have changed the way she looks, but unfortunately her basic skating hasn't improved. If Mira medaled at TEB it would be because at least 3 skaters had major meltdowns, and that would be a most unpleasant surprise. :sheesh:

But I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Yeah, I think Meissner is doomed to get silver. Only because she hasn't learned the trick of psyching out her competitors. I suggest the USFSA get her hooked up with a hypnotist. That way, she can stare at Mao with penetrating eyes to freak her out a bit and make her botch her triple axel.

Actually, I don't think that will be necessary....Mao is her own harshest critic. Today, after the ladies short program, she was in tears because she messed up her jump combo. She's still in first, but she is awfully hard on herself! Guess she'll probably be doomed to win TEB.
