Hi all! Looking for some help with sizing for Edea ice flys. Currently in too-big Riedells that I've gotten sick of dealing with (Riedell Fusion 6.5 A/B). Riedells are basically impossible to get hold of right now, so I'm switching to Edeas. I like the feel of the ice flys particularly around my heel and ankle, but the sizing has been a bit of a problem.
I have a very narrow heel and wider ball of my foot/toes. Measured at a 245+ according to the fitter. "African" foot type according to this chart (saw on another thread that this was helpful information).
My fitter has a very limited stock, so could only try me in a 245 or 250 B. The 245 was way too short. Length-wise the 250 felt ok (hard to know how it's meant to feel when you've been in too-big boots for several years!), but the sides of my last three toes were very smushed, almost like the boot was slightly too tapered on the outside of the toes. Is this something that can be punched out or resolved with breaking in/heat molding or do I need to go up a width? Or would going up in length (i.e. to a 255) work? I'm worried that going up to the C width will be too wide in the heel and I'll be back to the same heel slippage problems I've been having in my Riedells.
Here's my foot on the insole if that helps.
