Who would win if the following pairs of people skated cleanly?

Earlier I created a poll presenting various pairs of skaters/teams skating cleanly vs each other and who you believe would win in each case. I created a different one this time:

Sandhu vs Buttle
Lysacek vs Lambiel
Kim vs Asada
Pang/Tong vs Zhang/Zhang
Meissner vs Ando

For each of the 5 pairs of people there will 2 different options. Vote for only 1 of the 2 options on each of the 5 pairs of people.

it was easy for me to pick all but Evan vs Stephane... but giving the tech content I gave it to Evan... but really I don't know who would win

Sandhu vs Buttle-Buttle would win easily.... Sandhu's quads would not compensate for Buttle's superiority in virtualy every other way.

I voted Sandhu since IF clean he can do well. Only a year ago Plushenko said he was the only one he was afraid of at the Olympics. Hard to imagine now, huh? It's hard even to imagine what he is capable of with a clean skate. He doesn't seem like the same skater any more.

As is becoming my habit... I totally agree with Spun on this one... I don't think ANYONE would sleep well if Sandhu finally got his mind right and really skated at the level of talent he possesses... Sandhu is interesting and I would love to see him skate his very best and shock the world...

As for the quiz... I think a perfect Weir / Sandhu matchup would be a beautiful thing...

I dont think Sandhu causes any of the top guys to lose sleep at this point. His PCS have plummeted and arent even close to the top skaters anymore. His spins and footwork have deteriorated enormously, and he is very slow now. He never really maximized jump layout or non-jump element levels to begin with. At Worlds Sandhu fell on his triple axel, did a triple flip-triple toe, and ended up 11th. Lambiel for example took a sliding fall on his triple axel, did a triple toe-double toe, and ended up 6th in the last group. That was in the short program where he has a better chance, since in the free program he falls further behind the top guys who maximize their points quotient much better.

To say his window of opportunity has closed would be a massive understatement. He would need the performances of his life, and the field would have to drop huge bombs on the ice, for him to have any hope of that elusive world medal at this point. There is a better then 50% he never even makes it to Worlds again in fact.

I would love to see those two skating cleanly in both programs in a competition together. I dont really know who would win, but if I had to guess I think Asada's jump value in the free skate would be too much for Kim, even though I love Kim's skating.

I dont think a clean Sandhu would even be that imposing for the top guys anymore. He just is not as good a skater as he used to be.

I did not know Plushenko said he was worried about Sandhu before last years Olympics. That does surprise me, and yes it is even harder to imagine now.
