Sorry for the double post, but I just watched this super cute mini documentary on Elena and Adelina--and it's in English!

I love how Elena says she's drawn to the ice like a magnet, and how Inna Goncharenko remembers that she was a cute little thing who stood out when she started skating. :)

And that part around 7:15 where she's smiling while the camera circles around her--that is totally our future Hollywood starlet in action! :biggrin:

Judging from this photo and the GPF ones (and this one http://instagram.com/p/xABEIkqBty/ ), I feel like little Lena always wears flats...? I think if she wore heels she actually wouldn't be THAT much shorter than the other girls now...

Anyway, I think it's super cute how Elena Ilinykh dotes on little Lena. Sure, 'big' Lena seems to be close with all the girls, but I think she has a special place in her heart for her "favorite princess" and "favorite little star" who shares her name. ;)

I'm so happy for Elena! Congratulations on becoming national champion :cheer2: I just love her, you could just see how much she loves being on the ice, and she always makes me smile watching her. Good luck at Euros&WC!

Excellent performances both SP and LP by adorable little Radio. There couldn't be a more deserving National champion! I hope to see her triumphant at Worlds as well.

just watched CBC commentary of Radio's LP at TEB. credits to sabinfire. Gosh, Kurt and the other 2 ladies took words out of my mind. absolutely agree with them on every single word.
Radio may not be lucky enough to become an overnight sensation. but she is winning people's heart the old fashioned way, step by step, through her infectious smile, her hard work and her friendly, positive and confident mentality.
Wish Radio will have masterpiece programs in store for figure skating fans in the future, just like Kurt says.:yes:
