It's brilliant. It's so pity only three of them will go to Olympic
Rather a max of three can go. . . . who knows who will rise up in the next few years.

I never would have guessed that the Japanese men would be down to 2 spots for next years Worlds yet here we are, so you're right there's no guarantee for 3 spots for the Russian ladies in 2018 but it's still a shame because 1, 2 or 3 spots not every one of these girls will have a chance to go to the Olympics in 2018.
I know i´m probably asked too much, but wonder if you could do one for the next season 3A battle =D Would be pretty epic too, Mao x Liza =D
That's a good idea, but I think it's already been done pretty well. This is one example I found that's really good.
.A new interview with Inna Goncharenko http://www.sport-express.ru/se-velena/reviews/879179/
Key points:
We wanted more especially after the nationals. But then multiple colds and psychological stuff.
I knew that Mishin was up to something when he started to bring Liza to multiple competitions.
When you reach a high level you should start to do things differently. But there are limitations. Especially in a big school like CSKA. We cannot get more ice not taking it from someone. Everyone wants the best for their pupils. It means if we have a new FS rink I will definetely take this opportunity into consideration. All this season we had ice at 8:15. It means the start of the training at 7 and the need to get up at 5. Otherwise the body will not be ready.
With several people in the group it is impossible to support a big athlete alone: others will leave you. I have 6 pupils now - 2 left. Then we need help. It costs money. Until the end of this season it were Elena's parents who paid for fitness, gliding, choreo specialists. We asked the Fed for help and we are very grateful that we will have it next season.
If Lena had a sponsor I would hire a choreographer. Then all others - CSKA cannot offer enough money to professionals - it should be done on an individual basis. Even music. I have to do it myself - we just cannot afford several hundred euros for this.
We work with Averbukh - he has a special approach. We of course would be happy but we are realists to understand that so far we cannot afford going to America, Stephan Lambiel, Marina Zueva, and Lori Nichols.
We will not accelerate the difficulty buildup because of the competition. We are still growing and we do not need injuries. The focus will be on the basics.
I am glad that Mao is back - it is the honor for us to compete with her.

This is very interesting  I would never have guessed that a skater winning medals at GPF, Euros and Worlds had to be founded by her parents! And, thanks God they are not going to try a 3A or a quad: Elena's axel technique is far from an ideal one, and only imagining those tiny legs jumping four revolutions in the air scares me :hopelessness:A new interview with Inna Goncharenko http://www.sport-express.ru/se-velena/reviews/879179/
