It is hard to describe. I would describe her as a swan when she is enterink the rink, while the others are more like little ducklings. I have seen Gubanova at that very event for whom everyone was dying, because beautiful program and such. But she hadnt that appearence on the ice like Stasya.

I don't know, but from TV, Stasya looks rather chaotic and the jumps insecure:shocked:.

I didn't expect a clean skate from stanislava, but she made it (apart from that final jump) and it was actually a fun program: her ltz-toe is huge, and maybe she deserves this trust since next season she will move to seniors.

Great skate for Alina and Polina (not a surprise) and Trusova.

Gubanova disappointing here, Samodurova underscored. Will she compete next season at JGP with such a low placement here at Nationals?

It's impressive!

It certainly is but in my mind, it destroys the program. It makes it so massively unbalanced that I hope such things are going to get heavily zinged in an international competition, at least in Seniors, if it happens.

I wonder why the Fed doesn't trust Panenkova. She is consistent and overall ok. They didn't send her at any GP event and here she wasn't scored ok.

How old is she? 5th place at Nationals is good, they will send her at the next GP season for sure.

Ugh. I didn't expect that 90% girls will be slow. Including Alina and Polina. Very hard and boring to watch. Konstantinova has good speed, but her posture on ice is absolutely awful. Angel just needs to fix her lutz. I liked:

1. Vika Vasilieva - very good speed, powerful jumps, joy to watch
2. Sasha Trusova - like Alina and Polina, she was slow. Especially her spins. But anyway, good start and TES.
3. Angel - :sad4:

Honorable mention to Ksenia Pankova, very good program. She was underscored. :disapp:

What a treat to watch Russian junior ladies. I fell in love with Stanislava last year with her Cirque du Soleil LP. I am glad she kept this program and she has never jumped better. It's a pleasant to see she make huge improvement over the season. Her both programs are quite challenging to skate, with lots of arm movement with all kinds of variations. Maybe next season if she skates to a different program, she can hold her jumps better in the LP, especially in the latter half when she tends to make multiple mistakes. After watching her LP, I think deserves her placement with that skate.

Polina is a sheer beauty. Something about her gorgeous figure itself is a joy to watch. Maria, who is even taller, and very pretty too, does not have that magic appeal for some reason. Just figures crossed that she won't get injured again.
