Well, since I actually like Polina T skating more than Alina Z, I'm glad she made the team and will have a chance to present herself after that last year fiasco. Sad for Kitty, but it's not news it was gonna be a bloodbath, hope she'll get more chance in future years. And good there is someone not from Eteri group. I don't want to see clone army...

I like Stasya and I disliked the dumb hate on her in this thread (on other skaters as well) but her tanos are the worst I have ever seen. Girl, stop them. Her jumps look MUCH better without them.

Just in terms of jumping difficulty - Alina zagitovas last two skates (nationals and jr nats) have to competitive for the most difficult ladies jumping performance ever - the double arm over the head and the 2-1-2 arms in the three jump combo actually enhance the beauty of her jumps and make them even more impressive - and her edges are all correct. Terrific air positions, speed and flow both in and out no telegraphing and great transitions. If she had any room for improvement in jumping I suppose they could be "bigger" a la tsurskaya - but just in terms of overall jumping difficulty she's really a dynamo. Ps before anyone pounces please read my post completely to understand I am not anointing her anything or the best overall anything etc - just remarking on her incredible jumping ability. What a great team she medvedeva and tsurskaya would make for eteri. I really hope julia could somehow play spoiler to one of them. Will be so interesting to watch. Cheers!

It is hard to describe. I would describe her as a swan when she is enterink the rink, while the others are more like little ducklings. I have seen Gubanova at that very event for whom everyone was dying, because beautiful program and such. But she hadnt that appearence on the ice like Stasya.
