You know, I read a lot of posts and seldom comment, but your vitriol is just disgraceful. It's obvious from your comments you don't know much about the finer points of figure skating but that aside, your personal invective against a few people is really sad. It must be tough to have so much unhappiness inside you that you have to lash out with such a mean spirit.

OK. Thanks.

YES no idea why I even bothered to watch

I WANT TO SEE QUADS!!! Not sissy stuff!!!

What is the whole point of doing a qaud if it prevents from being able to do a double axel. I saw at least 6 quads tonight. And 4 quad/triples in the who mens event.

I think this years worlds was a lot better than last year when everyone fell apart except for 3 skaters. kevin, brian , and buttle. This year Denis Ten, Oda, Kozuka,Chan,Evan ,Brian, Verner, Contesti put up a good show.

2007-2008
GPF Champion-Lambiel
European Champion-Verner
4CC Champion-Dai
Worlds Champion-Buttle

2008-2009
GPF Champion-Abott
European Champion-Brian
4CC Champion-Chan
World Champion-Evan

2 years , 8 different champions. The mens field is so diverse and deep. Will we have 4 different champions next year.

Yeah, bring the diversity at the expense of everything else.

I hope Plushenko comes back and push the skaters doing more quads in the future. I´m so proud of Lutai, Oda, Verner and also Joubert!!!But it´s hard do see that all the skaters who risk the quad doesn´t get succes anymore.

What would be figure skating without Brian. He deserve a medal in Vancouver 2010.

But I´m also hapy for Evan. He did two perfect performances and he´s a fighter. But I think if he had risk the quad he wouldn´t be world champion therefore I understand Brians disapointment.
It´hard to see him suffering so often

Anyway I love his skating and his personality and I hope theat he get a good chorerographer for the next season.

Okay I have to say one thing about Brian, over the last 4 years, the entire olympic cycle since Torino Brian Joubert is the only Mens skater to not only stand on EVERY worlds podium but also EVERY Europeans podium....now how about that

The New York Times on Brian's fall:
Brian Joubert, who came into the long program in first place, won the bronze medal, with a total score of 235.97. He stumbled once during his program but fell flat on his face after one of his triple jumps*. The blade of his skate had nicked the ice, causing him to trip.
It wasn't a triple, of course, but I imagine the rest is true. What a shame. That's just really bad luck.

Hsuhs, the last thing Brian should do is go to Lori Nichol. He just needs to find someone who can put together a program that plays to his strengths. Not Kurt Browning, sadly - I think, from some of Kurt's comments this week, that something went very wrong there. Hmm, maybe Brian should give Stannick Jeanette a call? They're as different as two skaters can be but I'm sure Stannick has loads of original ideas. Or maybe he should go to an ice dance choreographer. He can ask some of his teammates to refer him to someone.

Tarassova would be great but I belive that Brian doesn´t accept that a good long program needs more than two weeks of preparation.
Joubert always have a stage with a famous choreographer for just 14 days.

That´s a little bit sad. I think he could skate much better ih he had a good choreographer with him during a whole season.
A good programm dveloped with time. That´s the secret of Tatianas succes!

I we don´t know what Brian is thinking

Actually, Brian Joubert has never been off the podium at Euros. 8 for 8, going back to right before SLC. If you look on Youtube you can see the 2002 ceremony, where a very young looking Brian is on the podium with Alexei Yagudin and Sasha Abt.

How about Morozov?

NO WAY!!!! During the 2006 Olympic Season Morozov made that 'Lord of the Dance' disaster for Brian and then trashed him all over town saying how Plushenko was going to beat him. He betrayed Brian's trust.....it went down bad....

Seriously what about Gwendel the guy knows his.....

I knew that, that's what I was saying of all of the competitors, Brian has the most staying power and is most decorated out of all of the men, he has come back stronger from difficult times before HE WILL do it again.

Morosov can prepare good programs in 14 days.
Matrix, James Bond are programs full of succes but unfortunately Brian and Morosov seperated and it wasn´t a nice seperation. But I don´t know the details.

Kurt would be cool, but I don´t belive in this cooperation.

I said Lori Nichol b/c many go to Lori Nichol for choreo. Seriously though I don't know who could 'suit' Brian's style the best. He's worked with so many choreographers in his career. There is nothing new under the sun.

Ok, how about Anissina?

I think Gwendel would be better, Anssiana made a DISASTER of a LP for Johnny Weir once, I forgot what it was but it did not go very well.

I have been watching mens skating on and off the ice for a very long time, so I know all of the drama that takes place BEHIND the camera.
