The unfortunate state of ladies' figure skating becomes pretty obvious when Brian Joubert is 4th in the mens' and Candice Didier, with 135.something, is 4th in the ladies. Actually, she could still medal! Unlikely, I know, but kind of neat if it happens (I've no recollection of seeing her skate, but I like an underdog!).
The ladies who were in the top 3 starting positions (i.e., the last to skate), going into this event, are still in the top 3 starting positions going into the free skate, even though their order has changed. That means something.
The pressure on her is different from what it was last season. I think it takes getting used to.
What I meant before, by the way, is that the ladies positioned as the last three to skate in the short program are still the last three to skate in the free skate, because they are the ones who have shown the best skating in the short program. I hope they all skate their best.
