Oda and the Chaplin Routine

Todd Eldredge did a Charlie Chaplin number years ago and really portrayed that character very well. Oda did it well also. Poor Todd had back trouble then and failed to win US Nationals with it.

Thanks for mentioning Todd's Chaplin program, stevlin. It's a very charming one, and he also did it at 1993 Skate America and the 1994 Goodwill Games (he won the silver medal at those GWG). We saw him skate at a pro-am in Philly back in December 1993. This pro am event took place over two days. We bought tickets for the Sunday afternoon part, and saw all the short programs. I could kick myself that we didn't buy tickets for the whole package. If we had also gone the following Monday night, we could have seen his Chaplin program live (thankfully it was aired on ABC a few days later).

Re: Oda's performance - I love it. It suits him well, and I hope he has continued success with it through this season.
