I'm a very active adult skater. I'm at the adult silver freestyle level (working on the lutz finally!) and the bronze level in dance with my husband (we also passed the Juvenile free dance test, our favorite program). I've been skating for 4 years this month. Everybody else? Both my parents were actually roller skaters (both dance and actual figures).
You can check out some of my videos on Youtube, always looking for honest critique: search for Arin Tememe.
Adult bronze here--that's cool that you're working on your lutz! I was a competitive roller figures skater. Ironically, the thing that gives me the most struggles on the ice are having to do the modified figures for moves in the field testing (forward outside figure 8, waltz 8, back figure 8). I wish I had been less fearful of jumping when I was a roller skater, because that's the one thing I love to do on the ice now...JUMP!
