I love figure skating and my fandom goes back quite a ways, I pretty much love them all. My all time favorite skater is Paul Wylie. I also enjoy Janet Lynn, Denise B., Surya, Michelle, Sasha, Tonya Harding (sorry, but I thought she was great before it all fell apart for her.) Pairs is my favorite discipline, and I loved G and G and now the Chinese pair Shen and Zhao........the list could go on and on........oh, I also loved to watch Blumberg and Seibert, ice dancing in its true sense.....42

I became a fan of their eligible skating early in the career and at once in first glance (Curry 1970, Cousins 1977 and Kulik 1995). As a matter of fact I only watched men´s skating with a half eye until John Curry came onto the scene, LOL. Fortunately Ilia´s skating I have been able to follow as a pro also.

I don't get what you mean.

Perhaps people like me who list Peggy and the Protopopovs as favorites will be too feeble to log online , but unless they get involved in human trafficing or something, I doubt that MK and Plushy will disapear from anyone's favorite's list.

The first skater I fell in love with was Tenley Albright, when I saw her in the Ice Capades when I was a little boy.

Hi Berthes ghost - Of course, you realize I was generalizing and meant no offence to you and others who have a wider scope of figure skaters.

Yes, MK and Plushy's memory will be around for quite awhile because of the advent of televised competitions and shows which unfortunately, Mathman, we do not have that much of of skaters like Tenley Albright.

so in keeping with the point of the thread, I will name my two favorite skaters presently as Michelle Kwan and Kurt Browning. This doesn't negate Button, Jenkins, Flemming, Hammil, and that boy that did the first triple lutz.

Others I enjoy presently, although not favorites, amount to about 10 skaters from all over the world.
